THREAD: Into the belly of the beast 2!

It's the mornin after the #Panorama hit job, I'm in a BBC studio lookin to defend JCs Labour & get a few truth nuggets onto the airwaves.
Nerves are in equal proportion to the gravity of the situation. We NEED a Labour gov. #VictoriaLIVE 1/

I was astounded to find that a researcher for this program focused on 'Labour Antisemitism' had never heard of Al Jazeeras 'The Lobby'. During a pre-screening phone call I explained what was revealed in that program, an infinitely more revealing expose than the BBCs effort. 2/

Armed w/ pages of notes, I knew what I wanted to say, including excellent input from twitter. But when it came to it, the chances I got were curtailed by the host. Others were given time for long speeches, I was cut off when I mentioned Jackie Walker. 3/

I knew I wouldn't get long, so I wanted to get at least 1 specific debunk in there. I mentioned Panorama had used an already discredited accusation against @Jackiew80333500 & didn't even mention she was Jewish. The host instantly cut me off, I'd wanted to quote Chomsky. 4/

So I didn't get to say even a fraction of the points I had written down. Luckily the other guests covered some of it. @OwenJones84 & @AyoCaesar made some useful points tho I definitely didn't agree with everythin they said. I thanked them afterwards for their contribution. 5/

Had a chat w/ @SKinnock afterwards (who was awful on AS) & thanked him for his words on #Brexit, opposing a 2nd ref & warnin that if a GE comes b4 PV it could be problematic for Lab. He agreed it would hurt the Tories too, but a pact with BP seems likely. Smile =/= endorsement 6/

I asked if that pact would work since many Tory MPs are opposed to brexit. He told me BP would run against Tory remainers, in order to bypass Tory opposition to 'no deal'. This seems plausible but the majority of establishment doesn't want brexit, would they allow it? 7/

The other Labour MP @SDoughtyMP was even less agreeable, w/ utter guff spillin from his mouth & his gut bursting thru an ill fittin shirt. I did not seek a selfie w/ him. The show was definitely skewed towards an anti JC bias but the host did challenge some of the accusations. 8/

The members section started w/ an absolute clanger. A lady who said she supported Palestine said a ridiculous thing - "those complaining about AS in Labour are 'wimps'", cos she'd been hit with a handbag for her views, apparently. She felt like a plant & didn't speak again. 9/

It took ages to get to speak. By the time I did, I had a thousand things in mind to say, which made me stumble a bit.

& that was it. I didn't speak as calmly as last time, the format of the show was more pressured, we were cut off, hurried & misdirected. & w/ so much rot being spoken I got a bit muddled on what needed to be said but overall it was OK. Thanks so much for everyones support. 14/

Addendum: before filming began, the host told us she didn't want us to focus too much on #Panorama cos "there's a wider situation to discuss". So this show, which was planned to follow last night's despicable psy-op, didn't want to actually discuss the program. 15/
