An FBI raid was supposedly carried out Wednesday at the home of the Michael Bagley, the founder of a Washington, DC "private intelligence" company.

It was in connection to an investigation involving money laundering and a Mexican cartel.

His company is called Jellyfish Partners. Their site says they provide political and business intelligence information to their clients.

Bagley is alleged to have been charged with money laundering after he helped FBI sources who posed as narco/cartel reps hide money.
He started his company in 2011 and bragged about hiring people who worked for private mercenaries (similar to Blackwater) and boasted about big name CEO clients.
He also ended up meeting with people in a San Diego hotel, who he thought were cartel reps, and offered them fake invoicing to help them launder $20 Million through another company called "Black Knight Enterprises."

Little did he know he was actually meeting w/ FBI informants.
LOL...he also offered who he thought were cartel reps to set up a GoFundMe to launder the money. No surprise there.
Back to the Bagley / "cartel" reps meeting.....

Ohhh, Lordy, there are TAPES!
Besides this FBI sting, authorities think Bagley may have had a working relationship with a REAL Cartel Boss - Ismael Zambada, AKA "El Mayo," who supposedly took over the Sinaloa cartel after El Chapo was arrested.
Bagley, after being caught, claimed to the FBI that he lied about knowing El Mayo, though. I'm sure the FBI will be looking into that further.
Oh, I should have read down further first...

Prosecutors asked for bail to be denied stating he was a flight risk. He recently went on multiple trips back and forth to Mexico for "his alleged work for a real Mexican cartel boss."
Here's an older 2013 article about Bagley and the "political intelligence" business, otherwise known as opposition research.

motherjones.com/politics/2013/…
In this article, Bagley said that his employees were veterans of security contractors Academi and Able Danger. He also claimed that everything his company did was on the up & up and did nothing nefarious.

Welp, so much for that 🤣
Ugh, it figures a Podesta (Heather) had to pop up in this article. So SHE was a LOBBYIST, too, but was trashing other lobbyists, lol.
Oh wow, hmmmmmmmmmm 🧐

prnewswire.com/news-releases/…
What’s odd, though, is that the Daily Beast article said court & FBI docs noted that Bagley appeared to have fallen on hard times, was unemployed for some time, and that Jellyfish didn’t have any employees or an office.

So, was it not really his company?
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see where exactly this all leads.
