As the #PrimeDay kicks in, some thoughts and suggestions in 5 tweets.

1. If you purchase something you did not plan, you most probably don't need it

2. If you bought a 1000re item at 750re, you did not save 250, you spent 750

3. Resist. Flash sales are designed to give you do dopamine surge. The same feeling you have when you accomplish something but here you don't - you just spent and yet are fooled into believing you accomplished. Ask gamers.

"Phew! I managed to get the smartphone finally!"

4. The best way to take an announced sale to your advantage, is to have a 'wishlist' listed into: "Buy Urgently", "Buy if economic" and keep building it. Amazon notifies you if something in your wishlist is on a deal. Make Amazon work for you.

5. Use Keepa to see if a deal listed on 'sale' is actually priced low or you are being tricked. My 'data' tells me they jack up prices just before sale on some long tail items (non-promoted like OnePlus). Use MS Shopping Assistant. It's pretty neat.

All the best in resisting not to buy. If you successfully resisted - tell me about it - let's meet and coffee's on me. Add to it - I will build you a simple template to track your financial expenses and be able to forecast what will your net wealth be at the end of the year!

If you have wanted to buy a #Kindle, this is your best chance. Lowest price ever. But of course as a rule, ask yourself before:

"What are the top 3 books I wanna read?" If you can't answer all 3, then you don't need this.

A wise buyer would know the prices were jacked up just just hours ago. #PrimeDayAmazon
If you thought this is too much work, well I actually got fond of billionaire @mcuban's 'buy in bulk' idea three years ago and have been buying daily use items in bulk. Forget the money it saves me, the time and decision-making fatigue it saves alone is worth it.
