there are two realities right now in terms of american politics. one reality thinks we're in good hands and that trump is doing great things for us all and that everything is going great! the other is terrified and appalled and very fearful for the future he's taking us into 1/x

if we were really in good hands and nobody needed to worry, the people who believed that would be interested in trying to convince the others. they would want to help the others see the truth & not be afraid. they would want to share their joy & positivity. . 2/x

But in fact what we see from that version of reality is this tiresome charade of "loving liberal tears" and the depiction of everyone who disagrees with The Agenda as literally evil, satanistic people out to destroy america. "everything but trump is lies! love it or leave!" 3/x

Without and beyond question, this is a political cult. Facts do not apply any more because this is a matter of faith. The agenda has captured the _beliefs_ of people in such a fundamental way that they no longer participate in the shared reality. They believe they have woken up.

They believe that, while once they were dreaming the dream of consensus reality, now they have woken up into "the truth." But in fact, they have been siphoned off into a second, smaller dream: The dream of the Trump Epiphany. A constructed reality designed by the Powers That Be.

The real agenda behind this dream, like the real agenda in all cults, is an agenda of power and domination. As the matrix movies show us, it benefits the exploitative Overlords to have humans enslaved to them that believe they're free.

In truth, this is the exact same condition in which almost everyone in this culture finds themselves. The consensus reality of the past 60 years has been just as false, just as manufactured, just as enslaving and exploitative. Waking up from it remains important - because 7/x

humanity must either escape those old outmoded ways of thinking and managing themselves in the world or they will succumb to the consequences of their poor decisions. We do not have any time to waste in good dreams or bad dreams anymore. Somehow we have to figure out how to arise
