The women & men who worked on @HillaryClinton's campaign were extraordinary people. To see them dismissed by Brazile is so ugly & cruel.
I met many of these folks over the course of the 2yrs I covered the election & women like @ZerlinaMaxwell & @jmpalmieri were so helpful.
And a reminder that one thing we lost was a Cabinet filled with women & POC--like HRC's staff has ALWAYS been & as she pledged to voters.
The voices of black women were esp strong.
Some REALITY:

Clinton Employs More Black Women Than Any Nominee Ever thecut.com/2016/10/meet-t…
People trying to rewrite history are ALSO erasing women--particularly women of color--workers AND voters. That's not acceptable on any level.
And FFS, this GOP talking point is enraging:
As I wrote last year, this "Hillary's dying!" trope was being spread by Trump, #Flynn, #Bannon & #RogerStone.

So Brazile claiming she had power to replace Clinton w/Brazile's own chosen candidate is quite...disturbing. @TomPerez MUST speak to this.
I hope people realize as they salivate with Hillary-hate that IF TRUE, this means @TomPerez can subvert 2020 however HE chooses.
It ALSO means that @Reince had the opportunity to replace Trump with a less horrible GOP candidate like #Kasich, but didn't. Right?
What makes ZERO sense in Brazile's narrative is if she was so distraught over Sanders (no one saw this, trust me--she was all in for HRC)>>
>>Why was Brazile going to choose the LEAST popular"replacement" who NO ONE HAD VOTED FOR? (This claim also screws Biden & Booker for 2020.)
No one wants Biden 2020--especially not now that he's moved even further right than he was AND will be 80. But Booker should be a contender.
This is slash-&-burn working for GOP from someone most--I 1st met Brazile in 1988 when we were both starting out--thought was a loyal Dem.
And the "who was f*cking" narrative she poses, PARTICULARLY given her own history, is wildly out of touch.
I mean I was asked earlier this week to delete some things I said based on my personal knowledge, but I am biting my tongue now after this.
My initial reaction earlier this week was acutely personal & visceral. I walked some of it back b/c it was so emo. EXCEPT I WAS OBV RIGHT.
I'm a reporter & columnist, but I have been a feminist & LGBT activist for decades. We NEED women in politics. HRC worked for that.
It's a SERIOUS problem to claim that if a WOMAN gets sick on the campaign trail and soldiers on, SHE could be replaced with A MAN. Jaysus!!!
Sanders got sick on the trail. We didn't hear a word about it. Clinton got pneumonia & like MILLIONS of women, KEPT ON GOING. Respect that.
These takedowns of @HillaryClinton are so deeply misogynist & we resist acknowledging that structural misogyny is as dangerous as racism.
Hillary Clinton has been the most powerful woman in US for my entire adult life. She's the ONLY woman who could/did get this far in 240yrs.
Whether you love, hate or are indifferent to @HillaryClinton, she, more than anyone, changed American politics just by SPEAKING.
Michelle Obama cited how HRC had made it possible for other First Ladies to work--because she was the first. AND the 1st to run for office.
These bizarre claims that the first woman in TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY YEARS to break the gender barrier had it easy are revisionist insanity.
Never in US history has someone who lost a primary with near-historic numbers kept claiming HE could have won. It's pure misogyny. SEE IT.
Men need to get comfortable with losing to women. Bill Bradley didn't run around claiming HE would have won the GE when Gore lost 2000.
Gore, Jesse Jackson & Dick Gephardt didn't run around claiming THEY would have won the GE in 1988 when Dukakis lost RESOUNDINGLY.
Oh and in 1988 Biden had to withdraw due to PLAGIARISM, in case you forgot why he lost THAT time.
And in 1984, THE worst loss in Democratic history when only ONE state went to Dems, Jackson & Gary Hart didn't whine that THEY wouldawon.
So this grotesque bad sportsmanship from a career politician & perennial back bencher who actually lost in March but refused to concede?
THIS is what will lose Dems 2020.
Folks say Dems need the Berners.
Actually EVERYONE needs the Hillary voters WHO ACTUALLY VOTED.
Revisionism is an ahistorical tool. It claims everything from Stalin was really a decent guy to the Holocaust didn't happen. But it's false.
Hillary Clinton was the most popular woman in America & 2nd most popular IN TE WORLD prior to running in April 2015. She was a great SoS.
She won two Senate terms in landslide victories. STOP REWRITING HISTORY. Everywhere she went, Hillary Clinton was loved by women & POC.
So whatever your motives, some of us were on the campaign trail. Yes, some young people loved Bernie. But many young people loved Hillary.
Undermining the HISTORIC win that Dems refused to stand behind of the first woman candidate is just despicable. And history will prove that.
I'm fighting cancer&may not live to see the 1st woman POTUS. But those sneering at HRC, esp white women who voted in Trump? You're shameful.
.@HillaryClinton fought an amazing fight for the most progressive platform in US history. If you didn't fight for that too, you own Trump.
Was @HillaryClinton the best candidate ever? Dunno. But she was one of two best candidates in my lifetime & would have been a great POTUS.
.@POTUS44 said of her here in Philly on that magical election eve night w/40k lined up for 15hrs to see her that she would change history.
.@HillaryClinton changed US history. Sanders, Biden, other bitter ineffectual voices, did not.
You can't alter that reality & never will.
If heads of DNC or RNC could unilaterally replace candidate CHOSEN BY THE VOTERS begs Q of why @Reince didn't replace Trump w/Kasich.
