Why hasn't Rep Devin Nunes been charged with a felony for obstructing his own Intel Committee's investig'n by alerting the White House, and pushing a #hoax about Susan Rice based on info he received from them?
He also leaked classifed intel!

#Nunes recused himself from the investigation, rather than resign as was demanded by Dems and the public. That seemed as if it would keep him from doing more harm, but was hardly adequate punishment for breaking the law.

But #Nunes almost immediately began work on the "unmasking" #hoax after Comey was fired. He admitted his story and intel leak had *nothing* to do with #TrumpRussia.

#Nunes then used 5 hours of Committee time to criticize the FBI for collecting intelligence on U.S. persons he said had nothing to do with their authorized monitoring of #TrumpRussia communications. This sidebar led to nothing.

But that Committee review has been STALLED for NINE months.
So, why is Nunes involved in #TrumpRussia again? On top of pushing a #hoax witch hunt and leaking intel, he's violating his recusal!

@cjm4189 @matthewamiller @anneapplebaum The "conservative non-profit scandal" was more about GOP defunding the IRS and the IRS failing to adapt than it was about targeting one political party.
Both the Tea Party and progressive activist groups abused their tax-exempt status.
But the Tea Party did it 80% of the time.

So the applications bogged down. They also failed to assess the impact of this approach.

@cjm4189 @matthewamiller @anneapplebaum I know the IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen, as a man of competence, integrity and fairness. He was not grinding any axe by trying to block Tea Party abuses - he was following the laws and reg'ns.
Progressive groups were given the same treatment, as the IG report revealed.

NEW: Source: Steve Bannon refused to answer House intel committee questions on his time in the White House, infuriating members of both parties.

So they subpoenaed him on the spot.

Source says Bannon did NOT invoke executive privilege but — like AG Sessions before him — said some of his conversations *could* implicate executive privilege.
Bannon used the same argument to avoid questions about the transition, which apparently puzzled some members since Trump wasn’t president then.
