Bombing a hospital is among the gravest of war crimes. The IDF reportedly blowing up one of the few places the injured and wounded can seek medical treatment and shelter during a war is horrific.

@POTUS needs to push for an immediate ceasefire to end this slaughter. Our office cited an AP report yesterday that the IDF had hit a Baptist hospital in Gaza. Since then, the IDF denied responsibility and the US intelligence assessment is that this was not done by Israel.

Gaza’s 2+ million population are mostly children, who live under blockade in what Israel’s own former intelligence chief has called an open air prison.

The overwhelming majority live in poverty.

He’s visiting as part of the “Investing in America Tour” to highlight the investments the administration is making to address the climate crisis right here in Minnesota. First I greeted @POTUS on the tarmac. We're visiting the Cummins factory in Fridley (a northern suburb of Minneapolis in my district). This is Cummins’ first electrolyzer manufacturing facility in the United States.

20 years later, the Iraq War remains the biggest foreign policy disaster of our generation, one that took thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives.

He did nothing when MTG wanted @RashidaTlaib & I kicked out of Congress unless we swore in on a Christian Bible.

Spare me the GOP hypocrisy. Trump dined with Nazis, said “Jews have to get their act together, and said to a group of Jewish leaders, “You’re brutal killers. Not nice people at all. But you have to vote for me; you have no choice.” He never apologized.

This is a huge deal. Workers were asking for time off - sick leave, most of all - as they often work well over the normal 40 hour, 5 day work week.

They're doing so during one of the most profitable periods in history for railway companies. For the American people, a shutdown of the railway system would have been disastrous.

Today is a monumental victory. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to get us to this moment.

This is an important first step to provide critical relief to millions of working people struggling to make ends meet under the burden of their debt. It also can't be the end of this discussion. There are millions more who have so much debt that even $20,000 only puts a small dent in what they owe.

We won't stop fighting until we cancel every dollar of student debt for every American.

It’s lazy reporting. The Democratic establishment in MN continuously recruit black men to run against us, but time and time again the black community, working class white people + other minorities overwhelmingly vote for us. It’s the rich white community that votes for them. You will rarely hear this as a the leading story. Our 2022 opponent said his neighbors asked him to run but when the election results came in, it was clear they actually didn’t want him to represent them. The working-class in CD5 know who their champion is and they are exhausted.

I want to be perfectly clear: this is who we are dealing with. This is what the Republican Party is. There’s no negotiating with this. There’s no cooperating with this. If they take what power we have to stop them, this will be national policy.

So that means a few things. Yes, we have to turn out and vote in November. Period.

I know you are sick of hearing this from national leaders in our party. I’m sick of it too. But it’s completely true. If Republicans take over the House and Senate, this will be their agenda.

5 justices confirmed by a POTUS who lost the popular vote.
4 lied under oath.
2 credibly accused of sexual assault.
1’s seat literally stolen.
1’s spouse implicated in a coup attempt.

It is not enough to tell people to vote. We need a comprehensive plan to fix this court. At a MINIMUM, the Senate should get rid of the filibuster to codify Roe v Wade into law.

Worried Manchin, Sinema, Colllins and Murkowski won’t support it?

Make them take a vote and go on the record choosing minority rule over women’s rights.

The reversal of Roe will be recorded in the history books in the same nauseous tones as decisions like Dred Scott, Korematsu, Plessy, and Buck.

This is an institution that has legitimized slavery, concentration camps, and eugenics.

This decision is the same. We claim to live in a democracy. A form of government that does not just do the will of the people, but protects the rights of the people.

There are times we have lived up to our ideals.

And there are many, many times where we haven’t. Like this.

For all the pain of the past two years, the federal govt did a lot of incredible things during the pandemic. We wrote and passed bills that reduced poverty by record amounts. We kept people in their homes. We fed our kids.

But we risk erasing all that progress if we don't act. The expanded Child Tax Credit was responsible for the largest drop in childhood poverty ever recorded. Republicans, with the help of two conservative Democrats in the Senate didn't care much about that, and they blocked its reauthorization. Image
