It all started in October 2016 when the Common Law lawyers in the two #Anglophone regions in Cameroon went on strike in relation to the infringement of the Common Law amongst others by the Government of Cameroon. Lawyers were teargassed and beaten in public like common criminals. In November 2016 the teachers too went on strike for many reasons among which were;

- Call an Education Forum
- Transfer of all Teachers of non Anglo-Saxon background to teach in the French sections
