1. The level of callousness in which #Yemen's conflict is depicted is truly insulting to Yemenis. This article published by @thehill is poorly researched & amateurishly written w/out fact checking. It's full of misinformation & unquantifiable statements.
thehill.com/opinion/congre… 2. In reporting the number of civilians killed by the Saudis, authors manipulated the information and made an inaccurate citation from a UN study choosing to attribute the entire war casualty estimate of 337K to #Saudis, and not the 15K reported UN estimate.

1. While many foreign observers praised @Rob_Malley's op-ed in @nytimes, anyone who KNOWS Yemen will find it one-sided. The op-ed does a gross disservice to #Yemen despite good intentions.

At times I thought the op-ed was either naive or deliberately misleading. Here's why: 2. @Rob_Malley gives a narrow view of #Yemen's conflict and re-hashes #Houthis' narrative when he limits the conflict as "#KSA vs. Houthi". He is not inaccurate per se but deliberately selective, ignoring Houthis' overthrow of UN-backed government as a root cause of conflict.

1. #Houthis of #Yemen raised funds for #Hezbollah during the month of #Ramadan

It's not the first time. Yet many found the news surprising.

#Houthis' ties to #Hezbollah & #Iran are undeniable. This thread will clarify some misconceptions about this clandestine alliance. 2. First, let's begin with Houthi's recent fundraiser in #Yemen to support #Hezbollah.

Source for this? #Houthis OFFICIAL news agency.

The fundraiser started this month of Ramadan & is ongoing. Millions of Yemeni Riyals were collected for Hezbollah & Houthis' war in Yemen;

1. #Houthis' ability to launch a drone into oil installations in #KSA isn't all that impressive when you consider that their main supplier, #Iran, has been guiding them throughout the process. It is absurd to think that this is a Houthis' DIY project w/out considering the source; 2. #Houthis formerly used the Qasef-1 drone, which according to the 2018 UN experts has "characteristics similar to #Iranian- made Ababil-2/T loitering munition ...as well as the smaller Rased reconnaissance drone." Likely that Qasef-1 suicide drone was used in the attack today.

1. The #Iran Action Group created by @SecPompeo last month released its report. Iran's role in the region, which other administrations overlooked, appears to be under intense scrutiny. #Houthis in #Yemen have been identified alongside groups responsible for attacks against the US 2. The report stated that consequences of #Iran's meddling include its lethal ballistic missiles, which advanced its proxies military capabilities: "Yemen’s #Houthi militants have fired numerous ballistic missiles into #Saudi Arabia, including two directed at Riyadh in May 2018."

1. The attack on the Hospital and Fishmarket yesterday, which initially was attributed to an airstrike, was denied by Coalition & revealed to be a result of a series of mortar shelling conducted by members of the #Iran-backed #Houthi militia.

Residents in #Hodeidah CONFIRMED. 2. Although we were all skeptical when the coalition denied the airstrikes, all visual images revealed a consistent pattern of mortar shelling. Residents immediately noted that there was no crater or airstrike damage, instead, they uncovered mortar shells. #Yemen
