Fox & Friends promotes a Wisconsin bill mandating that the national anthem be played before all sports games. Never mind the potential First Amendment violation, they're just happy that someone is "standing for the anthem" and uniting people with patriotism. i am very much not a lawyer but "the government compelling you by law to play a song" seems like government-mandated speech, which doesn't really mesh with the whole "freedom of speech" thing everyone says they value. that never came up in the fox segment, of course

Steve Doocy refers to a "Washington Post article" (it's actually an editorial) that criticizes Biden, which is "new" and "really something" from a such a huge supporter. They criticized Biden at least 2 other times in the past 2 weeks. The misdirection is so lazy it's insulting. On 4/28 the board criticized Biden's tax increases for not covering his "historic expansion of government." On 5/10 it criticized the planned Afghanistan withdrawal. It's not uncommon. But this crap is what you get when you pretend "The Media" = Democratic Party/antifa/whatever.

Fox News is uding the Colonial Pipeline attack to push for more pipelines (like Keystone XL) and to push for war, executions, or assassinations for anyone responsible. A thread: mediamatters.org/fox-news/fox-n… Tucker Carlson whined that “the White House approves of this disaster” because “soon enough, the lunatics plan to close all" gas stations anyway. "This is the Green New Deal. We've got it already. If you love gas shortages ... this is the program for you." mediamatters.org/fox-news/fox-n…

Steve Doocy and multiple white supremacist mass murderers agree: Undocumented immigration is "an invasion." reminder that a host of this show passionately defended his "invasion" rhetoric *after* a white supremacist murdered 23 people in a walmart to retaliate against the same "invasion."

Brian Kilmeade takes a break from his usual disgust with homeless people to wield them as a cudgel in a zero-sum game against migrant children: "We are helping them, but it doesn't mean our kids have to take a back seat again. We have 500,000 homeless people around the country!" can't tell if bringing up unadopted children right after was him switching arguments, or him being confused about the meaning of the word "homeless." in either case, he said what he said, including all the times he talked about them like a plague

this is the dumbest fucking show in the entire damn world some california bill about gendered toy sections has nothing to do with a bad AP article that set off a wave of incredibly stupid grievance, but fox news has flames of gender outrage to keep fanning, so anything will do
