Here is a short Thread on my Theory of Why Many People refuse to acknowledge the Reality of Racism.

This is just My Opinion...

Of Course, There are MANY Reasons for this Refusal.

Lack of Empathy. Some People don't care about things that don't Affect them Directly.

Many People base their Beliefs solely on what has happened in their lives & only view Racism through a lens where Racism doesn't exist.

I believe that for Many People, Acknowledging Racism is like Grabbing that one thread on a Knitted Sweater.
Once you Pull that thread...

Once you pull that thread the whole Sweater unravels, & in a sense - If they acknowledge the Ugly truth, it can Unravel all they believe.

They would have to admit, they were lied to by their Parents, Teachers, Friends...

They would have to reevaluate their past, their actions.

And, Look -

"If you haven't Lived it, You Just Don't Get it."

& that is True.

BUT, you can Learn by Listening & I mean REALLY Listening.

The reality of the Situation is, The Truth IS Ugly.

It's Horrible. It's Painful. It's Haunting. It was Here and it is Here Now, IT IS REAL,

And It's Happening NOW.
