So I’m a little drunk and I hope this doesn’t come off weird but I just want to thank my black folks that I follow here and who follow me back because you’ve made me a better person, this past four years have taught me so much on how to be a better white person better white ally
Following and being followed by so many committed and strong Black people who are authentic and strong and correct us WP when we fuck up and tell us how to be better is just so amazing to me.
I feel like it’s probably really hard to do that because you think we are your allies and then we fuck up in your face but you press on and you keep teaching us and I just want to say that I love you.
@blackwomenviews set me straight one day and she was 💯 and I love her for it. She is one of the toughest people I have met on here and all praise should go her way for teaching all of us how to be.
So white people make it your absolute mission in life to follow and listen to as many black people on here as you can. LISTEN. And learn and let’s be better people.
it's a gift that black folks are willing to teach us undeserving white idiots so don't expect cookies for doing the bare minimum and realize that our journey is a daily journey and NONE of us WP are there yet. We all have further to go.
