I was talking the other day to an old timer about the ills of our country and she mentioned something that isn't talked about much anymore. She was convinced that the slide started when prayer was removed from schools so many years ago.
Now, I don't know about that. Maybe she was right, maybe not. From my own recollections I remember the atheists saying years later as they fought to force God from the public square that morals won't change in this country. That even thinking of such a slippery slope was hogwash.
In fact, many assured me that the entire concept of a slippery slope logical argument was really a fallacy based on faulty logic. "How can you know what will happen in years from now if you do B today?" they screamed like wounded geese.
The postmodernists assured me that human nature was malleable and not absolute. They painted a utopia with unicorns and powered by fairy farts.

I'm not going to debate the issue about School prayer or if removing God from the public square was a good or bad thing.
Nope, not even going to debate if God is real or not. All answers you give are opinions backed up by personal experience and one person's results will vary from another's.

However, I am going to present the current state of the USA as evidence that those that pushed
...the slippery slope logical argument were correct and that with hindsight it's clear as we look up at that slope from the bottom of the ditch we have fallen into, that slippery slopes are real and have a powerful "oh shit!" ending.

This is why it's important to know cause and effect about things. If you listened to the media and politicians the Great recession was caused by a subprime housing crisis due to crappy government policies and risky corrupt things done by private sector like lax lending rules
While all of these added to it and made things worse, you will be hard pressed to find the real reason for the Great recession sighted because it doesn't fit the narrative. The fact is it was $5.00/gas that caused the Great recession. Sure the system would have probably failed..
..sooner or later on it's own but $5.00/gal gas what caused it to fail when it did. $5.00/gal caused inflation to spike, caused people living on the edge to choose between paying their house payment or filling their tank to go to work. Many picked the tank and the subprime

First, thanks for all the well wishing tonight. Second, I didn't realize there were so many Hamlets out there wondering if tis nobler to test or not to test, so thanks for the 411 downlow on that, I guess. Finally, I started taking zinc, B complex & a multivitamin a couple
...days ago when symptoms first appeared. For the Hamlets out there there are several reasons a person may want to get tested. I have several myself but I suppose I will always side on having too much information then assuming I know what I don't know.
Regardless, whatever you decide on the to test or not to test question of the moment, it finally comes down to needing to make a decision. Some may find it useless, some may not trust the tests, some my not want others to know, some may just want to fortify themselves with data

So, not feeling well, decided to go get a covid test...now I sit and wait to be called back into the dark dank room where they do the nasty tests or so I suppose it's a dark dank room. It could be light and airy for all I know. Let's see how long it takes.
Okay about 3 mins to be ushered back to the exam room and FYI the room is light and kind of off white maybe peach...Muh the color scheme is okay I guess..did the test took about 30 secs...says results should be back in 10-15 minutes. So now I wait and waste time twitting.
I dont know still undecided about the color scheme in here. Maybe the virus is effecting my ability to tell colors.🤔🤔🤔 The wait is like all waits in the exam rooms of a urgent care place. You see one you seen them all but I don't know I guess I'm going to say off-white. Final

Rush used to say all the time that "words mean things" and he was right, but as we now see by the actions of the left, it's clearly no longer correct. Words now mean whatever the narrative/propaganda writers determine they mean on any given day. Just look at the word vaccine.
This is what liars do. They change vocabulary to fit their needs, question and rewrite history so their lies appear to be the truth. There is a big difference between inventing words and change what words mean. Liars will do both mostly inventing at first but as the lies grow,
...wholesale changes are needed. Along with changes and inventions of words liars will also have to delete words so the people can not use those words to call them out on their lies. Orwell outlined this procedure well in his book 1984.( See Newspeak). It's what liars do.

One of the big lies that the media tells people is that the unvaxxed are mostly rural. While there are a lot of rural people that are anti vaxx, there are just as many city dwellers.
In fact, it's the companies with a large % of employees that are PHDs and Master grads that are the most likely to not require vaccinations because that group is one of the highest in terms of % to be against the vaccine because they understand the long term effects are unknown.
The other group that is represented by a large % of it's members as being anti vaxx are those with a high school education. The group that is the most aligned to the vaxx are B.A grads who are easily swayed by media propaganda.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. But the way I see current events: You have something happen. The media rush to defend or attack the event based on their political beliefs. they use lies, smears, leave details out, report part truths, pick each word or phase carefully, even
...change history or meaning of words to push their agenda. Meanwhile the "event" is forgotten many people face discrimination, loss of $$, even death due to this pursuit of the political agenda the media is pushing or attacking and at the end of the day people are less informed,
...more confused, angry and just generally crappier people to be around. Families and friendships are weakened. Morals and modes of conduct are forgotten and while one group or another may gain power for a bit, nothing really changes in the day to day life of the avg person.
