According to a DeKalb County news release this morning, an #AtlantaForest raid is underway. The county police are "leading a multijurisdictional task force" in the South River Forest to "determine whether any unauthorized person or persons are present in restricted areas."
Within the release, DeKalb County cites their executive order issued on March 24 where CEO Michael Thurmond ordered the closure of the parcels of the South River Forest that the county owns "in order to protect the safety of the public."
During the multijurisdictional raid, they'll be "securing entrances and exits from the property with cement barricades," as well as "posting official signs on the properties prohibiting public access to and parking on the properties."

Blackhall believes it owns the park’s land because of the land swap deal finalized on Feb. 11, 2021 between DeKalb County and Blackhall Real Estate Phase II, LLC, which is managed by Ryan Millsap.
