E' solo in inglese

Ukraine may turn out to be the first climate-driven war in Europe. This IS climate statecraft. thread. 1/n
2/n The notion that it is only climate policy when 100+ nations sit in a circle and decide *by consensus* is profoundly strange. Always has been.

A serious failure of imagination in climate analysts and scientists.
3/ Rather, climate is at the heart of world affairs. Great thread on the climatization of security and the UNSC.

I am following the #BelmarshTribunal today. Listening to the details of the Assange case it is always distressing, even after so many years. The magnitude of the case, its ripercussions and the human costs on Assange are astonishing and outrageous. A blatant abuse of power.
It can't be said louder and clearer: this is the biggest case against journalism of this era, made even more concerning following recent revelations on CIA plans for actually assassinating JA. The case has all the reasons for causing international outrage. Yet, it is not.
Reasons for this are several, mostly political or related to opportunism. JA is an "easy target", as said by @ewenmacaskill at the #BelmarshTribunal earlier today. This case is about destroying him and set a precedent. And it is about publishing secrets. It is about journalism.
