"Despite a previous Court of Appeal ruling in CAAT’s favour – which found that the government’s licensing decisions on arms to Saudi Arabia were ‘irrational and therefore unlawful’ – the UK government has continued to issue
licenses to export arms for use in Yemen. Since the start of the war, more than £23 billion of arms have been sold to the Saudi led coalition: the consequences have been appalling, with 8,983 civilians killed in air raids fuelled by these weapons.
