#GatedEating has demonstrated that I can lose weight—and keep it off—by extended fasting. That fasting is either coffee only, or a minimal amount of protein for several days each week. I have yet to demonstrate holding a particular weight, but that is mostly because I am 1/
trying to reach a target waistline and am not satisfied holding the current weight. Hunger is under much better control that pre-LCHF days, and emotional eating is also better controlled now. I must not lose sight of these accomplishments despite remaining above goal weight/size.
I had a DEXA scan last July, which revealed 3.6 lbs of visceral fat. My goal since then was to lose excess fat (determined more by waistline appearance than the scale), and have another scan this July to determine the remaining amount of visceral fat. 3/

1. Sometimes, God calls us to leave where we are because we have forgotten that we are on a journey to the promised land. When we arrive at Horeb, we somehow forget the real aim and become lost in the temporary. @NDBCVI @olaballo @Eromski @sola_ff @YouthsLagos #makeitworkin2021
2. But, we will not settle for the ephemeral. We are pushing forward to reach the promised land. We refuse to be satisfied with yesterday's happenings. If God told Israel to leave Horeb, why can't we leave too? #makeitwork @dejitula @afolake26 @matchmakers_re @fiyin4God @NDBCVI
3. Israel camped at Horeb, also known as Mount Sinai or the Mountain of God. It was a unique place. There, Moses led Israel to covenant with God. There Moses received the Ten Commandments. Mount Horeb was a special place. But God told them to break camp and advance. Why? @NDBCVI

#GatedEating Week 14
Cumulative change: -15.5 lbs
Weekly change: -3.5 lbs

Back on track. Extended fasts seem to do the trick. It takes at least 48 hours to see any drop in typical BG levels, and a rise in ketones. With all this fasting, #CGM Daily Patterns graphs are quite flat. Image

7-day
14-day
30-day

During considerable fasting, zero carb some days, 4-8g other days, and deliberate weight loss. ImageImageImage
This week's weigh day "of record" will be Thursday, rather than Friday. It's not because I'm going to (carb) binge on Thanksgiving. I'm long past that habit now. Rather, I usually feast on Fridays. This week I'm shifting forward one day is all to align with family day of thanks.

We were all once prodigal, we were once lost, once unsaved but now we are saved only by the GRACE of God!

Not by might, not by our will, not by power, not by our faithfulness but by the GRACE of God, so why give up on a prodigal?
I hear people say they wouldn't stress their selves preaching to particular persons because they are lost in the world, why do you conclude?

Some of us go extra mile to criticize and condemn people because they are now prodigal, why can't you pray for them instead!
I don't waste the opportunity of preaching salvation to a sinner because I believe God can change any man no matter how terrible their sins may look!

The blood of Jesus is enough for everyone, it is enough to save nations, it is enough to bring the prodigal HOME!

#AlevelResults #dontgiveup I left school at 16 with a handful of pretty rubbish grades (got drama twice though! - CSE and O level) and went to FE college to do A Levels - Drama (of course!), Sociology and Media Studies (shut up!).
The summer after my first year of A Levels I went to Greenham Common and never left - well not for a while. I did my Sociology A Level at the local FE college in Newbury. They let me go to evening class even though I stank of wood smoke and missed class when there was an action!
I did my other 2 A Levels - Media Studies and Politics (no more drama!) - at another FE college part time over 2 years. I worked in/at all sorts and spent a lot of time doing political stuff - and at parties!

Born & raised in #Fanar #Lebanon, a tiny country in the middle east with a lot to offer. I always had a positive outlook on life maybe because of the culture or values🤷‍♀️.
If you don't know #Lebanon or a #lebanese then you should start mingling 🤣

I grew up surrounded by a loving, joking & tough type of family that always support each other even amidst fighting. You can imaging being 4 kids in different age groups can cause a lot of fights growing up 😂 #siblingsfight #family #VoicesIWS

I have my issues🤷‍♀️! I always wanted to prove myself & make my family proud(2nd child). A pressure that was just in my head; they were always proud of us. I wanted to grow up to be a doctor or an army officer like my dad. Let's just say I changed my mind! #VoicesIWS @IWS_Network
