PSA for writers:

Let me first give a couple examples of the horrible "Magic Legs" trope!

Professor Xavier in the #Xmen series could walk for most of season 2 because *on Genosha his powers were suppressed... Therefore he could walk*

My goodness that's so damn ridiculous
Maybe don't write a plot where you send a wheelchair user to a tropical island with no wheelchair access! How hard is that?!

So let's discuss how this ridiculous trope is why people think disabled people will be magically healed!
How this trope has contributed to people actually pulling disabled people out of their chairs and taking away their mobility aids because abled people think we just need the right motivation or situation to be normal!

Jim is starting his morning. He's going to upload a few things and make announcements. Also a promo thread and a few other things. Most excited for the Like I Give A BLEEP #GMless and #solorpg. It was too much fun to playtest.
My solo test runs were more or less #BackToTheFuture with #RickAndMorty time cops, #DrMephisto (from #SouthPark) in #Heinlein's #NumberOfTheBeast, and #DoctorWho as written by @ChuckTingle. My group run was #DoomPatrol set in a @TimRobbins1 universe written by #AnaisNin. #TTRPG
The solo runs were especially benefited by a rule that says fill in whatever later. Character creation can be done during play. Which is good because there's a lot of bits for a lite system. Plus making things up on the fly to fill in the blanks boosted the mad scientist theme.

What about a show about a group of people that try to deal with the repercussions of GCPD corruption, brutality and their acceptance of a vigilante that uses deadly forces in anyone in low income neighborhoods, especially the ones doing non violent crimes to survive?
With all the shit we can say about #ARROW, Oliver Queen literally has a arc when he loses his money, goes to prison and learns how jail doesn't fix shit. How people that try to so good behind bars get fucked and when he gets out he tries to give people second chances.
He tries to give a villain the chance to work with the law and be released, between other things. In #DoomPatrol #Cyborg has a conversation with Roni about how going to jail doesn't help take anyone out off crime, someone showing that they care, given help, does.
