The #ICA23-PostCon about #SciCom was great. One random stranger took this picture of our happy group, but she is not the only person to thank. (1/9) 
The fine people @UofT’s John M. Kelly Library were great (spontaneous!) hosts for our group. When we had to quickly find a room, they willingly opened the door to us (with @JohnBesley paving the way). (2/9)

Take a moment to mourn; you worked hard, you had high hopes, and you were sure this was your best work. Don't ignore what that does to you. It hurts, and that is a valid response. But
know this happens to all of us and never stops happening. You may have picked the wrong division or encountered a reviewer who doesn't get it. Reviewers are anonymous, hard-working volunteers. They are not out to get anonymous authors. Sometimes you just have bad luck
