FOCUS #1:

1. It is not and never was a question of whether General Suleimani is good or bad for Iran or for the Middle East, especially concerning the Syria mess.

#NoWarOnIran
2. It's about (a) American foreign interference (now in terrorist form!), (b) the rapid degeneration of American democratic structures and (c) diplomacy.
3. Same thing as with other countries: the USA has literally destroyed Latin America during the 60-70s by not only supporting, but sponsoring RW dictatorships in our countries. Would some have succeeded on their own? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

It wouldn't be politically simple, but given the snubbing of the Gang of Eight etc., an alternative to the nation's reckless trajectory:

A bipartisan agreement to conduct a speedy, fair trial on the articles of impeachment followed by accelerated Republican primary. #NoWarInIran Image
Both parties have reason to resist this, but the nation's interests require us to avoid another ill-conceived military conflict without exit strategy or well defined victory conditions.

Both parties also have reasons to favor it.
For the record, I opposed impeachment because, though I believe the President abused power, I also saw House Democrats as politically hellbent on impeachment, which should never be the case.

We're now in uncharted waters. The volatility and gravity necessitate bipartisan action.

Here's the origin of the problem: military affairs can never, ever, in the history of ever, be outsourced to private corporations. It doesn't require an economist to understand that profit drives corporate action. Therefore, war.

2) It has happened and will happen again. And again. Until areas such as military action and law enforcement are not 100% State owned and not-for-profit, profit will drive wars, mas incarceration, corruption, horrific foreign affairs... Honestly, what do you expect?
3) There are about 100 files on that folder. Enjoy. But please, it's time to FOCUS: once we get rid - and rid we must get - of fascists in power in the USA, Brazil and other countries, these things - Private Military Contractors - have to go.

1/8 Donald Trump has just unilaterally committed an act of war without the approval of Congress. Not even the Gang of 8 was informed.

2/8 Make no mistake. General Qassem Soleimani was an evil man responsible for the death of thousands, from employing sophisticated IEDs used against American troops to recent murdering of Iraqi protesters.

3/8 None-the-less, this is an act of war, the assassination of a powerful foreign leader, the second most powerful man in Iran, at a time when Trump has just been impeached and is facing trial while ALSO up for re-election.
