We can't live with Covid any more than we can live with measles, polio, smallpox, malaria, chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. These are all things that have been controlled with sustained effort over multiple generations. 
This is an important paper by @dgurdasani1 @adamhamdy and @fitterhappierAJ and Dr. Marc Desforges which outlines many of the ongoing concerns regarding SARS-CoV2:

My friend just tried to use her N95 when she had to go to the ER. She agreed to put a surgical mask on top & even had an unopened box of N95s she was willing to open in front of the nursing staff.

She was given a hard time by staff who said it was unnecessary and that her insistence was disrespectful. They said surgical masks are perfectly adequate. This hospital, like all others in Edmonton, has units with COVID outbreaks.

In UK, hosp:cases ratio is now reportedly 4x lower.
In Israel this ratio is now 2.5-3x lower than in the 3rd wave.
In AB our ICUs were full at 2000 daily cases.
2000 x 2.5 = 5000
2000 x 4 = 8000
Hence, we could expect to have ICUs full at around 5000-8000 daily cases.
