5 farmers convicted for beating to death two farm workers are arriving in Court for sentencing. They have been convicted on charges of common assault, and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, which led to the death of two farm workers. #sabcnews #SABCFS
2 farm workers - Samuel Tjixa and Simon Jubeba, went to their employer Loedie van der Westhuizen's house to demand their salaries on 6th January 2016. This after they had not been paid for work in November 2015. A confrontation ensued at their employer's farm. #sabcnews #SABCFS
Then a group of farmers tracked them and confronted them & they were assaulted. Tjixa was admitted at the Parys Hospital and Jubeba was transported to the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein. Jubeba was declared dead on arrival, while Tjixa died a day later.#sabcnews #SABCFS
