The Bombay High Court will shortly resume hearing PILs filed registering protest over the media trial stated to have been conducted in reporting on the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni will begin hearing.

In the previous hearing, the Court came down heavily on news channels on their reportage in the #SSRCase observing that they appeared to have disregarded basic norms and etiquettes of journalism.

Bombay High Court will continue hearing the PILs filed registering protest over the media trial being conducted in the reporting on the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni will resume the hearing at 10.30 am today.

In the previous hearing, the National Broadcasters Association (NBA) submitted that no judicial intervention was required to issue guidelines for the electronic media as there was a functional self-regulation mechanism already in place.

In the last hearing, Sr Adv Aspi Chinoy (for a petitioner) argued for the issuance of guidelines to be followed while reporting on criminal investigations and sub-judice matters, so that the media does not end up 'pre-judging' in the pretext of reporting.

#CBI has recovered deleted Whatsapp chats of #dipeshsawant . Sawant sent a message to a friend of #Sushant at 10.51 AM on June 14 about a deal with Flipkart. Sushant was about to sign this deal. Whereas #SidharthPithani had claimed Sushant wasn't responding & they were worried.

#CBI team had visited #SushantSinghRajput 's bandra residence again on Monday & officials stayed there for over 5 hours. It appears they were told about preliminary findings by AIIMS forensic experts. #SSRCase has turned on its head. It was anything but suicide.

#SiddharthPithani had claimed they were worried around 10 AM on June 14 since Sushant had locked himself up. If Sushant wasn't responding to their thumping on the door, how did #dipeshsawant sent a whatsapp message at 10.51 AM to a friend of Sushant to inquire about the deal?
