Explications👇

Until I saw #COBRA trending, I had forgotten about this lovely bit of #Christian #charity from #moneygrubber #zootsuiting @JaySekulow.

I have mentioned being #fired by #Sekulow less than 5 hours after identifying myself to my employer, @ACLJ, as #gay.
You can read somewhat about that circumstance, and some of the reasons why you should scrub your whole body after shaking hands with #Sekulow can be found here:

But, as to #COBRA, when I was fired, @ACLJ and its greasy ca$h maniac, #Sekulow, was required by law to provide me with 90 days of access to my health insurance plan.

To purchase that insurance would have cost me approximately $1800.00 A MONTH.

#Sekulow is on the minds of many on @Twitter. I've read some things I know to be untrue (Sekulow, for example, was never a dominionist). I've read some things that are truly disturbing but about which I knew up close and personal ... his money-grubbing, for example.
I worked with and for #JaySekulow from 1988 until September 2012. I have some things to say that might interest those who are impressed/revolted by him.

But why should you care or believe anything I say?
First, as I said, I worked w/ and for Jay since 1988. I was fresh out of law school and working for a small nonoprofit law firm representing activists. The first time I worked with him, I and another young attorney drafted a brief for him in case involving @JewsforJesus.

Read your blog entries on my former "friend" and former employer, @JaySekulow.

The money grubbing should disturb.

The equating of prosperity with God's blessing should disturb.

But none of you folks that ever peek over at #Sekulow dig into some of the truly pathetic aspects of #Sekulow's "Christianity."

I always start by thinking about Maria, an elderly Bolivian-American naturalized US citizen. Maria worked for the @ACLJ in DC.
I opened an office for CASE (Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism) in December 1989, at #Sekulow's request. This was the beginning of a 23 year adventure that abruptly ended in 2012 when I identified my homosexual orientation to my employer, the @ACLJ.

As the #idiotic #impeachment gets set to start tomorrow, media outlets took the time to introduce us to the #castofcharacters added to @realdonaldtrump's #defense.
I worked with #Starr on two #SCOTUS cases in the early 1990s when he was #SolicitorGeneral. Not much I can offer about him.
But I worked with @JaySekulow from 1988 through 2012. I wrote briefs and other legal documents bearing his name. I assisted him in preparing for his #SCOTUS arguments. Early on, I actually wrote his press releases from 1989 to 1992.

Between 2004 and 2011, I directed a semester long Washington, DC, program for law students. The program was a joint effort of @ACLJ and @RegentLaw. I taught a 3 hour substantive course on advanced constitutional law and an hour course on legal practice.
Under my supervision, participating students also completed an internship program in which they drafted pre-litigation memoranda, complaints, motions, briefs, engaged in a practice deposition, and a practice oral argument.
@RegentLaw ultimately approved student participation in the program I devised as satisfying both their upper level writing and oral advocacy requirements.

One day, as we were talking about ethics issues, the topic of ghost-writing came up.

On #nationalbossday, I'll offer some tips, learned from a 25 year long mistake, by which I refer to my employment as Staff Counsel at Free Speech Advocates, as Litigation Counsel at Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism, and from 19 years as Senior Counsel at @ACLJ.
First things first:

If your boss talks badly about EVERY SINGLE COLLEAGUE behind their backs, he's talking badly about you to them.

In 2012, when Jay #Sekulow was preparing to endorse Mittens Romney, he ordered the Washington DC office to absent themselves. He expressly stated
that he was afraid of what our office manager, Glinda Corbin, might say if a TV news camera would be put in her face.

No wonder.

Sekulow and the Confederation of Dunces managing @ACLJ had once circulated a memorandum, when our $5Million office opened on Capitol Hill. T
