*clears throat* Forspoken is a GREAT game & the #ForspokenDemo did an absolute disservice to the final product. I was VERY wrong about this game.

Frey & wristband Cuff's banter is endearing at times, & other times it's cringe. Frey screaming "fuck you, bitch!" as she final-blows an enemy is a riot, cause it's comes off as something I would say. But when she constantly repeats, "shit, shit, fuck, shit" it's a bit 🙄.

Cuff quipping 'could you try not to get hit?', channels back-seat gamer vibes that made me feel like my older brother was in the room watching me play. Their relationship is very Eddie Brock/Symbiote as the two have to work together but are always taking shots at one another.

Hace un año viajé a Japón a cubrir #TokyoGameShow.

Hoy abrí por primera vez en meses una caja de folletos, volantes, catálogos y regalos promocionales varios. Algunos de estudios conocidos, otros más raros.

Acá va un tour por el (hasta ahora) último Tokyo Game Show presencial.
Makuhari Messe es una bestialidad. El salón principal, de 54.000 metros cuadrados, tiene ocho pabellones conectados, donde podés encontrar todos los estudios japoneses (y algunos no japoneses) que alguna vez amaste.

La guía es una SÁBANA.
Los 8 halls están divididos en tres zonas. La del medio es la más cotizada. Ahí están los estudios grandes (#Konami, #Sony, #BandaiNamco, una sección internacional, y el espacio del medio que se reparte entre empresas de telefonía celular y gaming mobile. Acá empieza el show.

Lo de #Microsoft comprando #Sega es como todos los buenos rumores: creíble, pero dudoso.

A simple vista tiene lógica, porque durante años MS estuvo obsesionada con que #Xbox pegue en Japón... y #SquareEnix/#Capcom probablemente sean más caras que #Bethesda. ImageImage
Pero en el mercado japonés actual no tiene sentido.

El gaming hogareño se volvió de nicho. PS4 vendió allá menos de 10 millones en siete años, Switch lleva 15 en menos de cuatro. Ni hablemos de mobile.

MS y Nintendo se aman, ¿quizás permita Sahnics ahí?

El negocio de Sega va más allá de Sonic/Yakuza/Atlus. En PC tienen Football Manager, que no baja nunca de los más jugados en Steam.

Toda la división de estrategia es exitosa. Juegos baratos para gamers adultos.

Total War, en especial, que vende MUCHO más que Persona o Yakuza. Image

1/ #FinalFantasyVIIRemake, for as excellent as it might turn out, feels like the result of a product that doesn't have an end game plan. Given that we know the first installment of #FF7R barely scratches the surface of the story, but is a "full" AAA experience, concerns me.
2/ At the size of the "chunk" they have chosen for the first installment of #FF7R, how many more #games are required to tell the entirety of the #FF7 story? 8? 10? 12? Are they going to skip insignificant story bits as time goes on? We haven't been given the outline.
3/ From a project management standpoint, it's clear to me that @SquareEnix decided very little beyond this first episode. Because if they did, the required work to complete multiple AAA #FF7 #games, at this rate, is beyond the lifespan of the #PS5 alone.

Coloquei aqui uns detalhes do modelo. Dá pra ver melhor as texturas da roupinha e das partes de metal. Eu gosto mt que a espada reflete que nem espelho :) ImageImageImageImage
Essa primeira imagem é a configuração das luzes. Além das luzes dos lados eu gosto de colocar uma atrás pra dar um pouco de volume na contra luz do bonequinho. A segunda imagem é um teste com outro shader que eu acabei gostando : ) ImageImage

Each year the video game industry descends on LA for #E3 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo) to showcase the latest and greatest in interactive entertainment. And each year I do a statistical breakdown of the trends in gameplay mechanics. 2019 is my 5th year doing this analysis.
It’s no secret the gaming industry is laser focused on creating experiences that center violent combat. But engaging with a gameworld from behind the barrel of a gun or blade of a sword is extremely limiting. This is why my stats sort titles into combat and non-combat categories.
#E32019 started with the Electronic Arts press event. #EA only showcased 6 games. 50% of those were combat focused. Of the other 3 titles, 2 were annual sports franchise updates and 1 was a new DLC for the Sims 4. (I didn’t include Anthem because no footage was shown onstage).
