1/ Thread – random thoughts on a Saturday walk...

- I used to read a lot of comics when I was a teenager, then nothing since. Reliving these superhero stories through movies have been hot or miss... until the MCU, that is. Thanks, #Marvel, you’re truly setting a new bar.
2/ if there’s one thing I definitely got wrong, it’s that I thought governments would be regulating or outright banning crypto by now, particularly with the rise of ransomware. Now it’s substantially mainstream and would be much harder to tackle given it isn’t held only by geeks.
3/ Kindness begets kindness... mostly.

I know some examples come to mind of those I’ve dialogued with where things went south, but they are far more the exception than the rule.

I’ve met so many people on social media with differences of opinion, but shared mutual respect.

1/ Random Thursday Thoughts Thread...

- I consider myself an optimist, but I’ve been a little less so lately. For example, as much as there are things to be concerned about right now, I’m looking toward all the economic fallout ahead and... it wont likely be rosy.
2/ - There’s at least a dozen times I’ve wanted to complain openly about how the pandemic really disrupted my plans for #TheCCDoc, the CSF study and several key experiments.

But that’s so tiny compared to many of the friends I personally know whose businesses have gone under.
3/ - On a lighter note, My friend Bill was in from out of town and wanted to play some poker with me at the casinos who now allow for five handed games.

Everyone is required to wear masks, and the dealer provides mandatory hand sanitizer every time someone returns to the table.

1/ Update on #TheCCDoc... In case you missed the announcement and postings, it's a documentary we literally went around the world shooting in Jan/Feb right before you-know-what happened.

I've considered it on hold until we can resume traveling, but a new idea opened up...
2/ For many evenings (including this one), I've been converting raw footage shot and have been surprised on just how much we captured, both in the interviews and in b-roll. We were in such a groove gathering everything, and I find there's quite a lot I forgot about until now.
3/ Every interview I've done opened with some biography of the interviewee and then ultimately we discussed cholesterol, treatment, etc.

What has been surprising is just how many incredible stories are shared in that first portion of the dialog...

1/ Alas, I will *not* be attending #LowCarbDenver. I canceled my trip a few hours ago.

Needless to say, this is extremely heartbreaking as LCD is like home for me.

Yes, this is somewhat related to #covid19/#coronavirus...
2/ While I'm 99.9% sure I don't have the virus, I did travel at the beginning of Jan to Asia Pacific region - Macau, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Granted, (1) this was mainly before wider spread of the virus, and (2) no symptoms/sickness for weeks following...
3/ All that said, I feel the responsible thing to do is to exercise extreme caution right now given my recent travels for the #TheCCDoc.

I was certainly looking forward to seeing you all. But being overly cautious is certainly my preferred type of mistake vs the alternative.

3/ Importantly, we’re looking to get a wide spectrum of opinion. Whether you are pro LDL-lowering, a skeptic, or anywhere in between, we want to hear from you.

This documentary needs to have input from each side of this important topic for the benefit of the viewers.

1/ #ListenThread -

My guest appearance on #SigmaNutritionRadio just dropped where I have a very friendly #debate with @NutritionDanny and Alan Flanagan on #LDL #Cholesterol, #ApoB, #Atherosclerosis, #AllCauseMortality & much, much more!

2/ I did this podcast semi-sleep deprived and between interviews for #TheCCDoc. But I know my main hopes going in were to emphasize:

(1) Why I favor the "Lipid profile-centric" model over the "Lipoprotein-centric" model.
(2) How this is relevant to "the triad" ⬆️LDL⬆️HDL⬇️TG
3/

(3) Why this triad is of particular interest to all of us as it relates to not just cardiovascular disease, but in particular -- all cause mortality (ACM)

I honestly couldn't remember how well I did in getting these core points across, thus relistening now...

In five days we begin filming #TheCCDoc -- a documentary on #Lipids, #HeartDisease, and the phenomenon of higher #LDL #Cholesterol observed in many following the #keto/#lchf lifestyle.

cholesterolcode.com/documentary/

1/9
This will either be a single feature length documentary (90-120m) or a series of topic episodes (40-55m each)

I'll be interviewing experts across the opinion spectrum. Pro lipid hypothesis, moderate, skeptic, liberal on statins vs conservative, etc.

2/9
We'll explore:
1. History of cholesterol discovery
2. The #LowCarb movement and high "diet induced" #LDL
3. The science and data of risk: intervention, genetic, and observational
4. The two Triads, atherogenic dyslipidemia and ⬆️LDL+⬆️HDL+⬇️Triglycerides
