We are women, we are warriors of steel.
Woman is something no man will ever feel.
Woman is not a skill that any man can hone.
Woman is our word and it is ours alone.
I am not a dress to be worn on a whim,
A man in a dress is nonetheless a him.
Women are not simply what we wear.
If this offends you, I do not care.

In January The Countess Sports Working Group to #SaveWomensSports in Ireland was officially launched. Our aim is to advocate for women and girls participating in sports (at all levels) in Ireland and to ensure fair competition.

@LadiesFootball have released their Transgender Policy and it says: “The Association is committed to the inclusion of Trans-women into the LGFA.”
What this means for the game is males over the age of 12 may apply to play, with little or no restriction.
#SaveWomensSports
@LadiesFootball with the release of this Policy, has damaged its reputation as an organisation that values female sport and has completely abandoned the principles of safety, fairness and dignity for female players.

We are thrilled to announce that the word "woman" will not be removed from our Maternity Protection Act 1994. The Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill 2022 has been amended, and the word "woman" has been reinstated.
#ThesesWordsBelongToUs
data.oireachtas.ie/ie/oireachtas/…
When we launched our campaign #TheseWordsBelongToUs to defend the word "woman" we were contacted, and supported by so many women who felt deeply how unjust it was to erase us from legislation that pertains to women, and only women.
#TheseWordsBelongToUs
However, The Work Life Balance and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill 2022 still removes section 7(2) from our Maternity Protection Act 1994: 7(2) References in this Part to an employee are references to a female employee only. The words "He and "his" will be included.

Jennie Hodgers, an Irish woman who emigrated to the US in 1859 is believed to be the first woman to cast a vote for a US President. Jennie achieved this by posing as a man in order to avail of employment not available to women at the time.
irishtimes.com/opinion/when-j…
Some have speculated that Jennie was a trans identified female, i.e. she felt herself to be more of a man than a woman. Others believe she simply used her male persona as a passport to access, successfully, more opportunities.
One thing is certain, however. She was born female.
She wasn't "assigned female at birth" as @RyanTubridyShow described it on his show.
What is wrong with saying "born female"?
It is the fact she was female, was a woman, that makes her life story all the more interesting and fascinating.

Hugely important and significant piece in today's
@IrishTimes by Michael McDowell, former Attorney General, Tánaiste, Minister for Justice, currently serving as a Senator and Senior Counsel, on the importance of #SexNotGender for women's equality.
irishtimes.com/opinion/2022/0…
He questions "whether society or the Irish Constitution is bound by anti-discriminatory principles to regard everyone for all purposes simply as a human citizen with an innate human right to self-identify as male, female, fluid, transgender, or, indeed, non-gendered", and goes on
to say "That trans people experience rejection as a consequence of our civilisation’s social recognition and distinctions of sex and gender does not confer on them an absolute human right to erase gendered thought and language on a widespread basis."

This is a terrible & sad decision. Homophobia isn't gone, this we know. Two gay men have been brutally killed this year alone. Yet Dublin Pride have terminated their contract with the biggest provider of exposure they have, compromising the social benefits of the whole group.
A perfect indicator of the moral or ethical veracity of an idea or movement is in how it deals with those who disagree. If your movement castigates instead of speaking to a better judgement, if fire & brimstone is the innate reaction to disagreement, if the doling out of physical
or mental pain is the only appropriate response to ideological challenge, if censorship is preferable to exposure; then your idea or movement is not good. How you react to things that make you uncomfortable is an indicator of stability & maturity, two things that are very much

WOMEN are being removed from our Maternity Protection Act 1994 via the Work Life Balance Bill, with the "replacement of “woman” with “person".
@SenatorKeogan spoke in the Seanad about the removal of Women and female.

The law exists in a state of flux, as do the prevailing social opinions of the people it governs. These two aspects of our shared existence act upon each other — sometimes, changes in the law affect people’s opinions — more often, legislators and government wait to see which way
the wind is blowing before making a decision.
Where this balance fails is when government and legislators are beholden, not to the prevailing, widely held opinions of the public, but to the carefully curated and concentrated views of a vocal minority who have been given powerful

The other day, I was asking my grandmother about her childhood. That got me thinking - what will MY future grandchildren say when I tell them about my childhood? Thread about how I imagine this will go:

#SexMatters #SexNotGender #LetWomenSpeak #RespectMySex
2/12

Future Grandchild (FG): What was life like when you were young?

Me: Well… misogyny was celebrated, stereotypes encouraged & healthy kids embarked on lifelong medical nightmares.

FG: What? Did that actually happen?

Me: Oh, believe me, it did.

#WomenWontWheest #misogyny
3/12

FG: How?

Me: There were these men who wore dresses, liked pink and did other stereotypical feminine things. They decided they were ACTUALLY women.

FG: You’re joking!

Me: I’m not!

1/6 My school is fully captured by the #TransCult. As I’m able to differentiate fact from fiction, I often find myself standing alone against the madness.

2/6 My classmates AND the teachers try to intimidate me but I refuse to be silenced. I take every chance I can to stand against the gender insanity. Case in point? A recent reading survey.

#IStandWithJKRowling #IStandWithAllisonBailey #RespectMySex
3/6 I was given a form to fill out about books & authors.

First question: “Who is your favourite author?”

Of course I put @jk_rowling not just because of her books (outstanding as they are!) but because of her amazing work standing up for the rights of women & girls.

1/10 In school, there is one genderwoo-obsessed handmaiden who claims to be a lesbian. (Note that word “claims” - that bit is important.)

#SexMatters #SexNotGender #SexIsReal #WhatIsAWoman #AdultHumanFemale
2/10 Last week she insisted on asking me about my “transphobic” views. I asked her how she, as a lesbian, could support a cult that seeks to erase both women AND same-sex attraction?

#SexNotGender #BiologyIsNotBigotry #TransCult #LGBDropTheT #SexMatters #SexIsImmutable
3/10 She told me that TRAs do nothing of the sort. I pointed out that women are being kicked off lesbian dating sites, for saying they won’t date men. Which OF COURSE they won’t. These women are lesbians i.e. exclusively same-SEX attracted females.

1/9 🚨 Latest Update from my “Inclusive” School:

This week in SPHE (social, personal and health education) we were discussing puberty and how our bodies develop in adolescence.

2/9 The teacher taking the class has been trying to make my life rather difficult since I started asking questions and raising the issue of women’s rights. I suspect he is a men’s rights activist and quite possibly a misogynist too.

#WomensRightsAreHumanRights #SexMatters
3/9 Anyway, during this class he asked, “Can you tell me something that boys have, that girls don’t, that grows in puberty?” “Penises!” yelled a classmate.

1/10 Recently a teacher told my class that a baby can be “assigned” the wrong sex at birth… and that is how a man can “actually” be a woman. I rolled my eyes so much it’s a wonder they didn’t roll right out of my head! #SexIsObserved #SexMatters #SexIsReal #SexNotGender
2/10 I said, “No. Sex is observed and recorded, not assigned. If you have a penis you are a male.” It was at this point that a fellow student chipped in. #BiologyIsNotBigotry #Biology #WomenWontWheest #WeWillBeHeard #SexMatters #SexNotGender #SexIsImmutable

1/11 Recently my entire school was given a form to fill out. It was all about preferred pronouns and inclusive language. 🙄 We’d already had a class where we spoke about “inclusive language” so I knew what they WANTED me to put. #SexMatters #SexNotGender #Biology
2/11 The first question was, “Would you ever use the phrase “hi guys”?” Seriously?!? They're trying to get you to say no because a TIM might take offence even though in Ireland we often use the word guy for boys AND girls. #WomensRightsAreHumanRights #SexIsReal #Biology
3/11 The next one, “What pronouns are YOU comfortable with when being addressed by someone else? He/She/They/One/Other.” What the hell? Who ADDRESSES someone using he or she?

1/9 Recently I got pulled out of class for a “little chat”. I was told I had been reported for making “offensive comments”. Without ascertaining my version of events or even asking if the “reports” were true, it was clear my teacher had already decided I was guilty. #SexMatters
2/9 The only thing I’m guilty of is expressing perfectly sensible and legitimate views! Plus, since when is offending someone a big deal? People take offence at all kinds of things. Such is life and we all just have to deal with it. #BiologyIsNotBigotry #SexNotGender #SexMatters
3/9 I suspect, although I still don’t know for certain, that these “offensive comments” were actually facts that I discussed with a few classmates when they asked for my opinion. #WomenWontWheesht #WomensRightsAreHumanRights #IStandWithJKRowling #WeWillBeHeard #IStandWithMaya

The public consultation on our Equal Status Acts is closing in three days.
We want to note that neither the press release by @rodericogorman nor the @dcediy webpage mentions that the proposal includes an amendment to the ESA to include gender identity under the gender ground.1
How are the general public equipped to make a meaningful submission without this very important information on the proposed amendments?
In the Programme for Government it states that
Gender Identity should be included in our ESA,2
on pg 77 of a 128 pg document, that is not linked in the press release or the @dcediy webpage on the consultation.
A tweet by the Minister on the matter talked about gender identity yet the press release and webpage do not.3

This was an epoch-making, trailblazing speech. We were witnessing a moment in history. The moment our country starts to pull back from the brink of next level Self ID. #WeWillBeHeard

A dystopian nightmare whereby any man, at any time, can ID into any female only space and he will be protected by our equality laws should this amendment go through.
In this speech, @SenatorKeogan exposed the government in its blatant disregard for women and children. No risk assessment. No Impact assessment. A minister for children who does not grasp that the premise of safeguarding IS worst case scenario.

Listen to @SenatorKeogan in Seanad Éireann speaking about the proposed changes to our Equal Status Acts to include Gender Identity as a ground.
Time Stamp: 40 minutes.1/10

@SenatorKeogan highlighted significant concerns that many Irish people have about the proposed reforms to the Equality Acts.
"The issue, which needs to be carefully considered in any amendment to the law is that gender and sex are not the same and a lack of clarity as to 2/10
the definition of those terms has led to a position whereby obtaining a GRC to change your gender here in Ireland, results in someone even a man who has not had any surgery or hormones, does not intend to, being able to access all female only spaces as if they were a woman."3/10

Teachers ! đź“Łđź“Łđź“ŁPlease be aware that BeLong To are potentially leaving you open to liability with their advice to allow adolescent boys to use the female toilet, changing room & even dorm should they identify as the opposite sex, because this breaches safeguarding rules.
In addition, their advice to preclude parents from all knowledge, consent or consultation regarding their child’s social transition at school breaches the rights of those parents under the 1998 Education Act & as enshrined in An Bunreacht. Please feel empowered to address these
& any other concerns you may have at a local level with your school regarding the recent pledge packs or indeed the indoctrination of junior infants upwards into highly-contested, controversial and harmful gender identity ideology. You are not being old-fashioned, conservative

BREAKING NEWS

THE PUBLIC HAVE THEIR SAY IN GENDER DEBATE.
We have commissioned the the first-ever independent survey into attitudes to gender which has revealed widespread support among the Irish public for single-sex services and sports.1

#IrishGenderPoll #WeWillBeHeard
RedC questioned a representative sample of 1,001 adults on a range of gender-related issues.
It comes amid calls for a public debate over gender and sex based rights in the light of controversial decisions such as plans to roll out mixed-sex toilets in Irish secondary schools.2
MORE than three-quarters of respondents (77%) agreed that people should have the right to request that intimate medical examinations are carried out by a person of the same birth sex.
62% said public buildings such as schools and banks should have to provide single-sex toilets.3

IRELAND: Where young men assault young women with impunity. We had been hearing reports of gangs of boys throwing coffee/water over female joggers. Now this. This young woman could have been killed. These girls are being forced to run the gauntlet to access public transport. 1/
One gets spat on, one gets a high kick to the ribs & one gets thrown into the tiny gap between the train & the platform. Before we delve deeper, is it not the responsibility & indeed the whole purpose of the man in the high-viz vest, to make this platform safe for passengers../2

This letter beautifully & eloquently reflects our position. There was no debate. Because there was no awareness or understanding. All cloaked in fuzziness. Enough. Time for a grown-up conversation in this country about the GRA, trans ideology & their catastrophic impact on single

on the fence. We have a hospital consultant as our medical advisor & barristers working on our medicolegal team. There is no evidence base whatsoever for the medical transitioning of children / YP. None. It is eugenics because it results in sterilisation. It’s behoves all us to
