How much $$ do we think @jonstewart got paid to pedal pseudoscience on @TheProblem? Or do we really think he is so ill informed to not know about the studies from Sweden, Finland and the UK that caused them to reverse course? 1/

I didnā€™t affirm my daughter, I removed her from the contagion. Within months she pulled what I called a ā€œsees and desistā€ ā€” she saw the truth and left the cult. Over a year later, sheā€™s thriving more than she ever was when involved in gender craze. #YoungGCWomenUnite Image
Crazy how many people are mad I didnā€™t let my daughter go down a path toward mutilation. Maybe if studies showed transition actually improved mental health, Iā€™d consider it, but a lot of you are proving that living your trans life didnā€™t make you any less of a miserable person.
Weird, many of you are claiming I abused my child by questioning her trans identity, yet youā€™re also referring to her as ā€œsheā€ ā€œherā€ and ā€œdaughterā€. Itā€™s almost like you donā€™t care about my child as much as I do, or her identity, youā€™re just miserable, pathetic people. Stay mad.

So ... my story is a long, winding path through several dimly lit alleyways.

I'm a lesbian, I'm autistic, I'm a medical detransitioner, and I started to question everything when I was strongly urged towards a hysterectomy as part of an FtM transition.

#YoungGCWomenUnite
Growing up, I immensely struggled with all sorts of period related unwellness, especially debilitating pain to the point where it became impossible to walk.

Was it ever taken seriously in the context of me being female?

~NOPE~.
But as soon as I underwent transition related measures, this procedure was not just practically thrown after me - I was advised to consider all sorts of horrible consequences if I didn't go for it.

šŸ§µWe've been noticing an increase in accounts that get our "amber flag" waving - accounts claiming to be lesbian and/or radfems that may not be what they claim & we're a bit concerned, especially as #YoungGCWomenUnite is trending.
So here's a few things to look out for...
šŸ§µ2...things to look out for...
- THE GENERAL TONE. Women know what a woman's "voice" sounds like. These men *think* we speak like a gushing bad US romcom teenager - "I really long for a rad lesbian friend to chat with!" No mate, women don't talk like that! šŸ†
3 - ANIMƉ PROFILE PIC - Boy, do these boys love their cartoon girly images! Not a 100% dead cert but enough of an amber flag to take a closer look at the account & look for other things that might be a bit "off".

#YoungGCWomenUnite Iā€™m a 21 year old lesbian and I used to fully believe in the trans cause. One day, I started ā€œhate readingā€ a radical feminist blog just to see what those ā€œbigotsā€ were saying. I couldnā€™t stop reading. I went through multiple blogs and devoured as much (1/8)
ā€” radical feminist literature as I could get my hands on. To my horror, I agreed with everything they were saying. In comparison to radical feminism, my old liberal feminist (though I wouldnā€™t have called it such at the time) analysis was surface level drivel. It couldnā€™tā€” (2/8)
ā€”explain an eighth of what radical feminism could. And, beyond the allure of just the rich theory, my experiences started to align with what those hated ā€œterfsā€ were saying. I was a member of my high schoolā€™s GSA and suddenly there was an explosion of my peers IDā€™ing asā€” (3/8)

Iā€™m 15. My friends started binding their breasts and self-harming, and mainstream media and TikTok told them it was normal. Iā€™m afraid to speak out in real life because of cancel culture and stigma, but I believe in women-only spaces XX

Soā€¦this got a lot more attention than I thought it would! Wow. Thanks for all the kind comments and advice- Iā€™m jumping offline now, but I really appreciate it šŸ’œšŸ¤šŸ’š
@MForstater Iā€™m pinching myself that you saw this - I love you! Thank you for all that you do and have done, what an inspiration for young women like me šŸ’œšŸ¤šŸ’š

This (v long and late) šŸ§µ will give a bit of background to how I peaked, and the aftermath. I don't regret anything and I'm now in a brilliant place with great friends. But I think its important to show why it's so scary for young GC women to speak out.
#YoungGCWomenUnite
I am currently 28. I picked up "be kind" feminism from uni and my peers and had never really challenged it. My peaking began when my mum and I clashed over @GetTheLOutUK in 2019. I couldn't fathom the idea of my mum being a bigot - it just didn't make sense.
Mum and I didn't really talk about it again, but she started dropping Invisible Women factoids on me. Which made me question why people claiming to be the most vulnerable group were so adamant that they shouldn't be properly counted in the census.

Hey everyone, Iā€™m a mom. I work in an allied healthcare profession. Iā€™m a so called #terf. I donā€™t have a singular #peaktrans experience, but rather a culmination of experiences. So here we go!
Almost a decade ago, I learned that terms #genderdysphoria and #transgender. There were some people who had extreme distress about their sex and they felt happier looking and presenting like the opposite sex. They worked closely with doctors and therapists.
I didnā€™t care. None of my business. But when hospital coworkers and staff started saying #TransWomenAreWomen , I started to question it. How could they literally be women? #whatisawoman ?

A thread šŸ§µ on how I peaked. I grew up fairly rurally so was unaware of the issues. I went to university as was surrounded with the ā€˜be kindā€™ atmosphere- and I believed it, including that people are what they say they are. After about a year of knowing /
that ā€˜TERFs are evilā€™ but having never once seen any direct evidence of what they saying or doing I decided to investigate myself, expecting to be shocked. In late 2019 I joined r/GenderCritical and I was shocked. They were everywhere- logical arguments! /
Any riposte I had was based in feelings, and ā€˜be kindā€™. And their evidence was the shocking rates of male violence against women, the stories of incarcerated women on KPSSinfo.org , the attacks on womenā€™s spaces and refuges. Vancouver was the point of no return /
