Sort of like ABSITE studying itself, our high yield #absite graphics series this year had some highs and some lows. What better way to reminisce than putting them all in one place... 🧡(1/n)
We kicked it off with the ruler of tricky anatomy, the #thyroid (2/n) Image

1/🧡for my #GeneralSurgery folks.
@AmBdSurg oral boards is probably the toughest exam you will face in your career (definitely was for me)!
I couldn't find really good guidance anywhere when I was a resident.
I got #boardcertified within 4 months of graduation,πŸ‘‡ is how to do it!
2/Good @AmBdSurg CE preparation starts with a good preparation for the @AmBdSurg QE!
This πŸ‘‡ is how I studied for the QE:
Read Cameron in PGY-4

In PGY-5:
@SCOREsurg Qs
@SESAP_ Qs
Operative dictations in GS book
Dimicks common scenario book

After graduation:
@TrueLearnLLC Qs
3/ @AmBdSurg QE was like #absite with majority of Qs being straightforward (70%), about 20% requiring 2-3 step thought process to answer & rest being extremely difficult/experimental.
Time management was easier compared to #absite.
πŸ”‘ is to KEEP MOVING & not dwell on one Q!

1/11 I, like so many others, was and am deeply troubled by the now-retracted JAHA "diversity" article and what it purports to represent, and what it does represent, which are entirely different. Kudos to @DrQuinnCapers4 for his leadership, and that of many others. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
2/11 Personally, the articleβ€”and more importantly, the mindset it reflectsβ€”is repugnant to me. As an Asian American physician, it is all the more painful and embarrassing for me to read. It’s like your racist relative ruining the big holiday happiness. πŸ¦ƒπŸ·πŸ₯§πŸ§§πŸ§§
3/11 But clearly, there are people who think this way, that applaud the β€œdata”, that feel that they are somehow exposing the elephant in the room that they think is inclusion efforts or affirmative action or any other means to ensure diversity in medicine . . . πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈπŸ‘©πŸΏβ€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨πŸΏβ€βš•οΈπŸ‘©πŸ»β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€βš•οΈπŸ˜·
