Like too much the @USCCB does this is contingent on a limited, 20th century US historical understanding.

Embalming didn't become widespread (for everyone) in the US until the 19th century. Embalming was available earlier of course, variably...

...through history technology and other factors limited its availability. The earliest Christians used no embalming, mirroring the customs of their place and time (no conference of bishops issued a statement, Christians disposed of human remains as those around them did...)....
And, I am saying: historically speaking, MOST buried Christian bodies have composted, certainly, and a statement like this one abt #Catholic disposition of bodily remains @USCCB is possibly ONLY if one's theological understanding is conditioned by recent history to the...

A look at today's wide-ranging @pewscience report on #climatechange, #energy and #environment.
Partisan gaps continue to loom large, but survey goes deep on generations showing how #GenZ, #Millennials stand out for engagement on climate

Climate change is viewed as an issue that needs attention today and majorities view government, industry -- and even 'ordinary Americans' -- as doing 'too little' to help reduce its effects.

Americans continue to prioritize alternative energy development (like wind and solar) over fossil fuels, but public is roughly divided over phasing out gas-powered cars by 2035; opposes eliminating fossil fuels from energy picture altogether

For the record. Among the four major candidates contending for the Democratic presidential nomination, only 1 is a #Boomer. That's Warren, born in 1949. Biden, Bloomberg, & Sanders are all pre-boomers. The #babyboomer generation is defined as those born from 1946-64, post-war.
#Biden and #Bloomberg were both born in 1942, during the war. Sanders was born in 1941, just before US involvement in the war began.

We've had four #babyboomer presidents: #Clinton, #GWBush, and #Trump, all born in '46, and #Obama, born in 1961.
Interestingly, we've had no presidents born in the 1950s, which is sort of the heart of the #babyboomer BOOM!
