Dear You,

Did you hear that the brain behind the sex-for-grades BBC story (no, not Kiki Mordi, but Ogechi Obidiebube) attempted suicide?

She is said to have survived self poisoning.

Well.

It so happened that she was cheated.

#Thread
Despite being the chief reporter on the story she was sidelined when it came to getting proper credit and recognition for the job.

70 percent of the work done by her before Kiki Mordi came in. But because Kiki claimed she was a victim and probably had other qualities needed.
The powers that be put her on the project and they edged Oge out.

Yet, no matter what.

Suicide is not the way out.

And I don't know why some humans are so greedy? At the very least Kiki should have shared the cash.

Also, @XULA1925 is kinda goated for their Daily Mass game (where I ran into Br Herman)...

The chapel is dumb nice—complete with my flavor of modernist architecture, a MASSIVE #BlackJesus above the altar, and Afrocentric stations of the Cross in the side windows. (pics soon!)
Plus we sing at Daily Mass, which = life.

That seems to be a fairly common thing at Black parishes, but this is the only place I've seen full-on 4-hymn sandwich Monday-Friday.

👏🏾Love.👏🏾To.👏🏾See.👏🏾 It.

(Also doesn't hurt that the pianist is amazing and has a beautiful voice.)
Last but not least, they apparently are staffed (at least partially) by @TheJosephites, which is the cherry on top.

While it's literally their job to serve African-Americans, and we're the only Catholic HBCU, it's still cool to see young priests showing out #fortheculture.

Your Excellency,

Gov @jidesanwoolu.

You are needed in Manchester United sir.

This ball control is what Manchester United needed to win yesterday.

And see the way you effortlessly and masterfully trapped the pass from Asisat Oshoala.

Golden pass. Golden control.
Tiki. Taka.

"Today, Asisat Oshoala paid me a courtesy visit. She is a worthy ambassador of Lagos from Ikorodu and we are proud of her. She spoke about her plans for the Asisat Oshoala Foundation and I promised to support her.
We kicked the ball for a bit and I think I still have my skills."

That was your message after the brilliance exhibited in the photo.

I'd appreciate of you can do something splendid in Lagos.

Football is a culture.

We are talking about a Trillion Dollars culture.

Thanks to all of the incredibly impressive suggestions, I created a #BlackAndSTEM Twitter list. I'll keep adding to it as I run across (or y'all tag) more people. You can subscribe to the list and/or look at the members for follow suggestions.
List: twitter.com/blackwomenview…
PS- I'm working on more lists. There isn't enough RTng to do justice to all the important voices out there. Feel free to tag me with more suggestions! In case it must be said: these lists aren't for my personal gain, profit, or anything of the sort. It's simply #ForTheCulture ✊🏾

So, my girl in SA was recently heartbroken on account of a Naija man. She was understandably pissed & said he'd lied to her for years while he was married. I did the comforting/listening thing, but three months later I gave her this breakdown. Technically Naija men rarely lie...
As for the compliments... the toasting... it's a West African thing. You just have to listen to the songs someone is always being gassed or thanked. Early juju and highlife music is full of thanks...
I swear sometimes people would hear thanks to them in songs by musicians they didn't know and the joke was it meant the musician had slept with your lover without your knowledge and was just being fair by giving you some props... But back to my girl...

What if #KamalaHarris was Prez when @issarae started #Insecure? With #KamalasPlan there woulda been some changes for our favs. Lawrence would've gotten his business off the ground quicker with #Kamala's $12B Black entrepreneurship grant so Issa would've never had reason to cheat.
If Issa never cheated on Lawrence's unemployed ass, we could've gotten the happy ending for both of them we're still waiting for after 3 seasons. Wedding bells not lonely blue shirts 😢
We don't let Issa's cheating define her though...there would've been a LOT good things for her with #KamalasPlan. Like...she coulda still worked with kids as a teacher making $13,500 more a yr thanks to #Kamala's teacher pay plan instead of feeling trapped &broke at We Got Y'all.
