What @ethereum could do to clean up recent chaos?
Building a new decentralized world could be hard. Creating successful opensource project could be even harder.
Let's talk about it.
👇
1/ Be transparent on what you are doing. Explain it to the people in plain words. Provide roadmaps and outline expectations. And please replace old outdated ethereum.org - it's Ethereum tombstone it doesn't help anyone. @ethhub_io doing what official website can't.
2/ Be transparent on who is building Ethereum. Outline what doing people at EF and what volunteer contributors doing. Who is Core Devs? Are there open positions in Core Team or it's a closed club? How someone could join @EthCatHerders?
3/ Be transparent on decision making. What Core Devs can and what they can't? When @VitalikButerin can step in and overturn a current decision? Where are boundaries for decisions of non-paid contributors?
4/ Be transparent on finances. Crypto is about transparency right? Why can't we see ETH wallet of EF and corresponding transactions for grant winners? Could we create the most transparent opensource project before making a new decentralized world?
5/ Be transparent on COI. Few people saw a recent post on reddit, but who would recall it one year later? Put a clear COI disclosure of EF stakeholders and Core Devs on the website so everyone could find and read it later.

6/ Provide clear workflow for contributors so they could disclosure COI too. If COI drama happened once it could happen again. Learn from your mistakes, not leave it as is.
7/ Be transparent with community moderation. We already saw pitchfork-war over @5chdn being a moderator on Reddit. Please hire community manager(s) and let them do their work explaining brand values to the community and answering harsh questions.
8/ #Ethereum needs Core Devs and Contributors doing their work, not fighting back with an angry social media mob.
