3/ 🥐 @0xProject [ $ZRX ] crowned two #ETHParis hackathon winners. 1st: GoMommy, a 0x-powered marketplace for @ENSDomains. 2nd: 12months, a project allowing you to request a DAI-denominated loan by collateralizing a car via 0x and Estonian E-ID system.

7/ 🔎 Ethereum wallet interface @MyEtherWallet (MEW) launched open-source #blockchain explorer EthVM Alpha on Ethereum's Ropsten test network. EthVM will soon be available for all Ethereum fork chains.

10/ 🥩 Institutional staking-as-a-service provider @Staked_us partnered with BlockTower Capital to join the #PlasmaChain validator pool! PlasmaChain is @Loom_Network's [ $LOOM ] high-performance DPoS sidechain that bridges multiple chains and Ethereum.

12/ 🤑 @AmunAG, the startup behind the world's first listed crypto index project, announced the raising of a $4M seed round. The lead investor was no other than Graham Tuckwell, the first person to set up an ETF tracking the price of gold.
13/ 💰 #GroundX, the crypto-oriented subsidiary of Kakao Corp. - the parent co. of South Korean messaging app @KakaoTalk - raised $90M in a private coin offering for its upcoming blockchain platform, Klaytn. Another financing round of roughly the same sum kicks off this week.

There are a LOT of competing solutions.

So, this founder has decided that his value-proposition is:

To be the LOW COST provider
3/ so, this founder is targeting the shittiest end (sole and smallest traders) of a shitty market, at the shittiest price point possible.

And, the product (so far) requires F2F sales.

I think the best thing we can do with our teams is create a vulnerability based trust where we can be who we really are. We're never as strong as when we're ourselves.

1/ Protocols, funds, and large #crypto companies are either thinking about or are in the process of launching their own incubators and startup accelerators. Some will be protocol specific; others will be agnostic. Here's the case for why and when this will/won't make sense.
2/ First off, while this is a new trend, history rhymes, and we may have seen this movie (or at least a similar one) before: the rise, fall, and refactoring of corporate innovation labs and corporate accelerator programs over the last 10 years.
3/ While #crypto is certainly different and its properties as a open platform will enable new types of opportunities, specifically around collaboration, interoperability, and cross-chain asset exchange, there are still many learnings we can draw from corporate labs/accelerators.
