2. We're brought up with Heroes

So what is a Hero, and why does this matter?
late 14c, "man of superhuman strength or physical courage," from Old French heroe (14c, Modern French héros), from Latin heros (plural heroes) "hero, demi-god, illustrious man"

3.
"from Greek hērōs (plural hērōes) "demi-god," a variant singular of which was hērōe. This is of uncertain origin; perhaps originally "defender, protector" and from PIE root *ser- (1) "to protect," but Beekes writes that it is "Probably a Pre-Greek word."
4.

The man, the myth, the mortal

But where does reality end and fiction begin Image

Question for the #WFH crowd, technically this is #marchbreak in Ontario; pre covid, this would be a quiet meeting week out of respect for parents of young kids and general family time. But not this year...1/
I have more meetings and calls this week than average which is fine for me as my kids are out of school, but what exactly are parents of young kids doing this week? Shouldn’t we all have hit a bit of a ‘pause’ button? Which leads me to another question...2/
If the kids are not going back to in person learning next week, but parents all have to work, whether from home or in factories, warehouses, processing plants, who exactly is looking after the children? Has the whole province magically time travelled back to the 1950’s? 3/

1/5 #COVID19 key concerns in 🇨🇦: Cases/outbreaks linked to high-risk settings continue to be reported at an alarming rate. A high number of long-term care facilities report clusters & hospital facilities report healthcare worker exposures.
2/5 At least 50 deaths are related to clusters in long term care homes, seniors residences & other care facilities. I cannot stress enough that we absolutely must double down to prevent the acceleration of #COVID19 spread in these settings.
3/5 This means strict public health and infection control policies to minimize the risk of an introduction at facilities. It also means that every one of us must take all precautions to prevent spread of #COVID19 into these settings. #StayHomeSaveLives
