#TyreNichols #Memphis When I was Commissioner (oh so long ago), I pushed several resolutions for police reform. All attempts were blocked due to proximity to Mayor Strickland and Sheriff Bonner.
- I asked for a directory of officers charged with misconduct. Denied.

- I asked for POST certification removal for fired officers. Denied. (Retaining POST allows officers to go to a different police department when fired. It’s why #DarrenWilson who murdered #MikeBrown is still a police officer.)
- I asked for community housing program where young recruits were required and incentivized to live in the neighborhoods they worked. Denied. (This program has shown to improve community - police relations and results in less use of force as well as lower arrest and crime rates.)

It is in the first minutes that Abde had already showed the world why he started against Villarreal. A 1v1 winger that Barcelona lack, able to receive the ball thanks to his runs off the ball & Abde toyed with his marker throughout the night.

Barcelona made frequent use of Abde's positioning off the ball + dribbling abilities as they were often caught in a dead-lock in the left despite frequent overloads. Excellent defending on the left, but abysmal on the right as Abde's 1v1 aptitudes gave Barcelona an advantage.

Today on @LocalMemphis, I'll provide online, on air and Twitter updates as @SecretaryPete visits #Memphis to update #40MSRiverBridge construction, see worksite & meet with @FedEx leaders on impact the bridge's indefinite closure is having on freight, commerce and logistics.
On top of @SecretaryPete visit, @myTDOT also expected this week to provide detailed construction timeline on when bridge can reopen to traffic. Last month, TDOT and ARDOT leaders feared it could take months, not weeks, to safely reopen the bridge after extensive repairs.
For now, the older I-55 bridge is the only the Mississippi River crossing connecting Memphis & Arkansas. @ARTrucking said I-55 bridge now averages more than 66,000 daily vehicles - compared to 45,000 before I-40 bridge closure.
