#Rosenstein SECRETLY CRIPPLED THE #MUELLER INVESTIGATION

The former deputy AG maneuvered to keep investigators from completing an inquiry into whether the president’s personal and financial links to Russia posed a national security threat

#MOG nytimes.com/2020/08/30/us/…
#Rosenstein concluded the #FBI lacked sufficient reason to conduct an investigation into the president’s links to Russia

He suspected that the acting bureau director who approved the opening of the inquiry, Andrew G. McCabe, had conflicts of interest

#MOG
#Rosenstein never told #McCabe about his decision, leaving the #FBI with the impression that the special counsel would take on the investigation into the president

McCabe said had he known #Mueller would not continue the inquiry, he would have had the F.B.I. perform it.

Newly released #DOJ emails reveal details about the internal response by the agency to allegations that then-Deputy AG @RodRosenstein had wanted to #Wiretap President Trump and invoke the #25thAmendment against him. (Thread 👇) theepochtimes.com/doj-emails-rev…
The allegations were first reported by @NYTimes in September 2018. (Article: nytimes.com/2018/09/21/us/…)

The article included a response statement from @RodRosenstein, who refuted the story, calling it “inaccurate and factually incorrect.”

#RobertMueller will be testifying before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees on July 17.

Here are some crucial questions that should be asked when he testifies (Thread 👇). | Article by Jeff Carlson @themarketswork theepochtimes.com/33-key-questio…
1) Did #AttorneyGeneral Barr in any way misrepresent your 448-page report?

#Mueller failed to identify the grand jury info in the #MuellerReport. Barr noted that “it immediately meant that you know it was going to be a period of weeks before we could get the report out.”
2) Who actually wrote Volume I and Volume II of the #MuellerReport?

At this point, it isn’t known with certainty if #Mueller had any hand in writing the report directly, or if he simply served in an oversight capacity.

The narrative of #ObstructionOfJustice originated prior to the conclusion of the #MuellerReport. (Thread 👇)

Less than 6 months after #Mueller’s appointment, @BrookingsInst published “Presidential Obstruction of Justice: The Case of Donald J. Trump.” theepochtimes.com/tracing-the-or…
The report outlined a scenario whereby #Mueller would refer his #Obstruction findings to #Congress, which would then take up the matter and continue investigating.

The report also discussed ways Congress could #ImpeachTrump, mentioning the word “#Impeachment” 90 times.
2 of the report's authors, Barry Berke & @NormEisen, were later retained by #HouseJudiciaryCommittee Chairman @RepJerryNadler on a consulting basis as special oversight counsels to the Democrat majority staff. judiciary.house.gov/news/press-rel…

News Analysis 🔎| The #MuellerReport appears to have been carefully worded by lawyers working under former #SpecialCounsel #RobertMueller, and perhaps #Mueller himself, in a manner designed to inflict political damage on President Donald Trump.

Thread 👇theepochtimes.com/5-discrepancie…
What makes these examples particularly notable is that access to the underlying material used in the #MuellerReport is extremely limited.

In instances where information is publicly available, they highlight inconsistencies, raising concerns that the report may be hiding more.
1) #Mueller's Selective Editing of Voicemail
Compare the quote in the #MuellerReport (img 1) to the full quote (img 2).

“…they changed the tenor and the contents of that conversation with [@GenFlynn lawyer] Robert Kelner.”

News Analysis 🔎 | Over the past month, there has been an inversion of people’s opinions of #RodRosenstein.

Those who praised him are now claiming he has been running interference for President Trump, while his critics have begun to reassess his actions. theepochtimes.com/as-rosenstein-…
#Rosenstein submitted his resignation letter to the president on April 29, with an effective date of May 11.

Rosenstein had previously discussed his intent to resign from his post when a new #AttorneyGeneral was confirmed, following the resignation of @JeffSessions
…After the appointment of #WilliamBarr as #AttorneyGeneral in February, however, #Rosenstein stayed on to assist #Barr in guiding him through the #MuellerReport.

Rosenstein had knowledge of the more intimate details of the case and its underlying focus.

Here's the thing with #Rosenstein - a lot of folks trusted him bc they were certain he wasn't part of the conspiracy.

He wasn't.

He was just a garden-variety coward who cared about nothing more than his comfort and retirement.

Cowardice can be as deadly as corruption.
In other words, a “survivor” (and they mean, “by stepping on the corpses of others.”)
I think #Rosenstein chose to be a small, small man. And we should honor that choice. By henceforward calling him #SmallRod - don’t you think?

Barr-Huber Meeting
On March 7, Barr had a notable meeting with Attorney John Huber of #Utah, who had been appointed as vice chair of the AG’s Advisory Committee by former AG @JeffSessions to investigate “all the allegations that the House Judiciary Committee members sent to us.”
Sessions wrote:
“Mr. Huber is conducting his work… in cooperation with the Inspector General. The additional matters raised… fall within the scope of his existing mandate, and I am confident that Mr. Huber’s review will include a full, complete, and objective evaluation…”

Media need to stop portraying the #MuellerProbe as having failed to reach a 'conclusion'. The establishment of any crimes was SUBSIDIARY to the counterintelligence investigation. We need to know what #Mueller found, not what he DID NOT FIND. #BarrCoverUp:
In his letter appointing the Special Counsel, #Rosenstein authorized #Mueller to "conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI Director James B. Comey" [in his testimony of 3/20/17]. Here is how #Comey characterized the investigation in that testimony: washingtonpost.com/news/post-poli…
#Barr is disingenuously attempting to frame #Mueller's findings as "binary". A blatant attempt at cover up. If #Mueller found any evidence POTUS or anyone in his campaign/admin was/is compromised we MUST know to in order to ensure our #NationalSecurity.

@JenniferJJacobs Disingenuous. Mueller's mandate was very broad. In Rosenstein's own words:
@JenniferJJacobs In Comey's words: "ANY links" so eg #TrumpTowerMoscow or any other business dealings Trump may have had/been pursuing. And in Rosenstein's words (above), "ANY matters that arose...from the investigation". BROAD mandate. #Rosenstein & #Barr are trying to box this up way too neatly
@JenniferJJacobs We need to know if anyone in high office, especially those with top security clearance was being played by is compromised by the Russians/any other foreign entity. This is a national security matter. We need to know what Mueller's findings revealed.

I realized late last night that a dominant narrative we are hearing about the #MuellerInvestigation from media is flat-out wrong. #Mueller did NOT have a very narrow mandate. His mandate was extremely broad. Let's look at it piece by piece. /1
@BarbMcQuade's excellent article in @thedailybeast made it clear that we are so deeply mired in 'analysis' (& spin) that the obvious easily evades us. If the President cannot be indicted then what was the PURPOSE of the #MuellerInvestigation? /2 thedailybeast.com/barr-sounds-mo…
I went back to #Rosenstein's original letter appointing #Mueller. A simple reading makes it obvious that Mueller's mandate was the farthest thing from restrictive (as we have constantly been told.) It was actually remarkably BROAD. /3 nytimes.com/interactive/20…

Twitter is filled with lying sacks today. @AlanDersh did not say, at some level of high generality, that the 25th Amendment violates the #Constitution. I'm linking the video because I had to go watch to see exactly what was said.

As you can plainly hear, @alandersh made the point that the proposed invocation by #mccable, #rosenstein, and others, of the 25th Amendment would be unconstitutional. And he was correct in that assertion.
The 25th Amendment is not the "we are unhappy with you" amendment to the Constitution. It is the "unable to perform the duties of the office" due to disability amendment.
