A war with Iran, started by the death of a robot killed by a missile and then pursued using only drones, robotic pack animals, cyber attacks and smart bombs and guided rockets would kinda be the military industrial complex's wet dream.

Throughout American history there are examples of cause and effect not directly related until history puts the pieces together. Some are random, some are directly linked. Perhaps Trump, on his own, realized that the political and personal consequences of wielding great power?

I saw the Bannon doco last night. He appears to be a huckster who knows the value of brand impressions regardless of content. Part of the faux celebrity and pseudo intellectualism that poisons our society. The guy enriches himself on chaos because the media empowers him.
There is a great scene in which Paul Lewis, a Guardian reporter in Venice is disgusted with Bannon's political marketing using veiled "dogwhistle" racism and intolerance. Bannon like Trump has consistently failed at his agenda but takes credit for success.theguardian.com/global/video/2…
