In our latest report, WIP reveals an increase in use of dehumanizing language on the Office of Refugee Resettlement website during the Trump administration. @jimdaleywrites delves deeper in @inthesetimesmag. sunlightfoundation.com/wp-content/upl… inthesetimes.com/article/22082/… Using a content analysis script developed with the help of @andresnz and @EnviroDGI, WIP shows that the term “alien,” which was used on the ORR website 103 times before Trump’s inauguration, now appears 720 times (an increase of 599%).

In our latest report, we teamed with @missanabeem of @qz to track how language has changed on @HHSGov regarding reproductive health. sunlightfoundation.com/wp-content/upl… qz.com/1718372/the-la… We analyzed a list of about 70 terms relating to sex education and family planning, the usage of which we thought may have changed on since January 20, 2017.

NEW Report: “Erasing the Affordable Care Act: Using Government Web Censorship to Undermine the Law.”

We’ve analyzed ACA web content censored at HHS and the impact that removing this content has on the public, particularly vulnerable populations

NEW: Our mini-report documents how, at the end of March — weeks before the #MuellerReport was released on April 18 — @TheJusticeDept’s “Special Counsel’s Office” webpage was altered: an email specifically for media inquiries was removed. sunlightfoundation.com/wp-content/upl… An email sent to the removed address, SpecialCounselPress@usdoj.gov, results in an automatic reply: “This mailbox is no longer in use. For media inquiries regarding the Special Counsel's Office,” and listed an email address for Mueller spokesperson Peter Carr.
