1] Letter by @JobSikhala1 from prison:

"No matter the adversities, the liberation of our people from oppression and persecution can not be postponed any further. My persecution is a reflection of the suffering our people have been going through one generation after the other"
2] @JobSikhala1:

"In this instance, I am in complete shock of the reasons for my persecutions. there is no crime i committed. The plot and the plan of the dictatorship is to break me down. i will never be broken down because the demand for a free and just society is a calling.."
3] @JobSikhala1:

"Even if I die in the concentration camp called Chikurubi Maximum Prison, dear Zimbabweans remember me. Remember that it is because of our freedom, happiness and liberty that has been robbed from one generation to another, that I met my fate.."

1. Soon people will be left with no option but to confront their oppressors using the means they never thought capable! When Injustice is so blatant, when officers of court & journalists are persecuted what of us the rabble? Mayor Jacob Mafume must be released! #FreeJacobMafume Image
2. Alan Moyo is being persecuted for being the voice of the voiceless. We know that students are the vanguard of democracy. By incarcerating him, the bloodthirsty junta is trying to muffle the few voices of reason that remain. #FreeAllanMoyo Image
3. Fadzayi is a consistent voice for justice. She is being persecuted because she brings a fresh impetus to the stale politics of geriatrics and viagra-saturated patriarchal chauvinists. She must be freed! #FreeFadzayiMahere Image

Update on #FreeHopewell

1/3 Hopewell Chin’ono’s challenge to his placement on remand in the obstructing the course of justice case was dismissed earlier today by Magistrate Gofa. The State has opposed bail and called the investigating officer and D.I. Chirape to give evidence.
2/3 Under cross examination, the I.O. conceded that the only tweet before the court about the NPA consenting to bail for Henrietta Rushwaya does not constitute an offense. He insisted the charge is based on another tweet which was never placed before the court. #FreeHopewell
3/3 Hopewell’s bail hearing will continue tomorrow Wed 11 Nov at 2:15pm for re-examination of the witness by the State. He remains incarcerated at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison. For more follow @KumbiraiMafunda or watch @eNCA at 19:30 tonight. #FreeHopewell

1. The clock is universal but the hands of time move slowly when you’ve nothing to do. One must find something to occupy the mind. Political detainee Hopewell Chin’ono asked for books so that he could find something to do. The prison authorities said no #ZimbabweanLivesMatter Image
2. On second thoughts, maybe Hopewell should have asked for George Orwell’s Animal Farm and 1984. They would probably have been apoplectic with rage if he had asked for this copy which I picked up today when I visited my favourite bookshop for the 1st time in months #FreeHopewell Image
3. They also refused him warm home-cooked food despite a High Court order that he should be granted access to food. I did warn that the phrase “in line with reasonable administrative procedures” would be abused by the authorities. Here we are. The order means nothing to them. Image

Tiri pachirangano. For Hopewell, Jacob and all the other political prisoners. You’re walking in the footsteps of a great man #ZimbabweanLivesMatter #FreeHopewell #FreeJacob
Look at that prison guard. I don’t know his name or where he is now. But his look was one of awe and admiration. Mdhara Morgan opened the way. It’s an iconic image of the struggle #ZimbabweanLivesMatter

1. Yesterday I said the regime would throw up a trick to divert attention from the looting under the Farm Mechanisation Scheme. The arrest of Hopewell Chin’ono & Jacob Ngarivhume is supposed to do that. Regime wants to take back control of the narrative. But #PayBackOurMoney
2. One way to deflect attention from the Farm Mechanisation scam is to do something so outrageous that it dwarfs the attention on looting, like the arrests. But still, Zimbabweans refuse to be hoodwinked. They want beneficiaries to #PayBackOurMoney Simple!
3. The regime wants to silence voices of dissent. This is not just about Hopewell or Jacob. This is about every citizen who wants to exercise their freedom of expression, assembly or to demonstrate. It’s about silencing social media, which has neutralised & outdone old propaganda
