Female people fought long and hard for some basic rights & protections, including lesbian same-sex rights.
These are being dismantled by trans activist ideology, which rewrites history and denies biological reality.

You are on the wrong side.
Human rights matter.
Trans rights matter.

Female people have suffered discrimination, exploitation, subjugation, abuse and violence for millennia -on account of our SEX.
We fought HARD for the rights we have.
Why are you nodding along to the misogyny?
Homosexual people have suffered discrimination, exploitation, subjugation, abuse and violence for millennia, on account of being same-SEX attracted.

Gay rights fought hard for the rights they won.

#Pride  marches in large cities are are so corporate. I have little sense of connection to them anymore.

I appreciate our efforts created a world in which LGBTQ people can work openly.

I hate having been reduced to a market and to volunteer marketers for alcohol and banks.

I miss our women’s and LGBTQ bookstores.

I miss the dark lesbian dive bars we had to work to find and gratefully did because we could sway in the thigh-between-thigh and sweaty-neck sanctuary of another woman’s body anytime, day or night, no questions asked.

I miss our leather bars with dark, compelling energy emanating whenever the doors opened, releasing a quick air-conditioned, testosterone-filled breeze and the bass of an unidentifiable throbbing beat.

I miss our piano bars with older tipsy queens singing show-tunes.

(Thread) Hey there: it's the last day of #Pride Month, 50 years after #Stonewall, and there's something I'd like to share. This month has been extremely hard, and today seems appropriate for something I've been scared to do for far too long.
I think a lot about how @BreneBrown defines shame: "the intensely painful feeling or experience of believing that we are flawed and therefore unworthy of love and belonging – something we've experienced, done, or failed to do makes us unworthy of connection."
Hosting @1A has brought me into the lives of millions of people. I've been honored to meet lots of our fans, many of whom praise me and the work we do. I'm grateful for that, but it's had an unintended side effect that's forced me to reexamine how I live my life.

The Stonewall Inn, located at 51 and 53 Christopher Street, along with several other establishments in the city, was owned by the Genovese crime family.
In 1966, three members of the Mafia invested $3,500 to turn the Stonewall Inn into a gay bar, after it had been a restaurant and a nightclub for heterosexuals. Once a week a police officer would collect envelopes of cash as a payoff, as the Stonewall Inn had no liquor license.

I feel like we got much more from this #DemDebate than I expected. I would have liked a more controlled stage and that the moderators paid better attention to how many questions they were giving candidates. Warren got no q's for 34 mins of the 1st hour, shut out of immigration.
What I had expected would happen did: some shone, some fell. It was a better opportunity than expected to get a sense of candidates and what they offer.
Most candidates gave a clear picture of who they are. For good or ill.
I appreciated Booker, Castro and Klobuchar raising #LGBTQ points.

2/ Let’s start with what we will affectionately call the alphabet soup. “LGBT” is likely familiar to many, but what people say after the T varies from person to person both in form and meaning.
3/ Terms one might see after LGBT include:
❤️Q: queer, and/or questioning (one’s sexuality, gender identity, etc.)
🧡I: intersex
💚A: asexual, agender and/or ally
💙+: meant to include any and all other identities not already included in the previous letters.

The @DeptJusticeIRL will pay travel costs for asylum seekers to attend #Pride as if they don't ask them to prove sexual orientation 🙄 If only you read half of the rejection letters for LGBT+ asylum seekers you'd understand why this is pathetic
Not so long ago we were contacted by a solicitor representing an asylum seeker whose sexual orientation was questioned by both the IPO and appeal tribunal. The solicitor asked us to write a letter confirming the applicant's participation in our LGBT+ activities.
Established NGOs and other LGBT+ groups regularly write such letters, normalising this dehumanising practice. All of them ought to and must condemn the practice. They should be demanding change in the way the @DeptJusticeIRL treats LGBT+ asylum seekers not facilitating abuse

I created a spreadsheet of the 173 House members who voted against the Equality Act, which would extend legal protections to LGBT Americans. It shows how much each person voting no was given by tech companies who are today vocally celebrating #pride…
Some remarks: the absolute dollar amounts are small because U.S. election law limits total donations to $10K per election cycle (except in Utah which always finds a way to be weird). Google gives the most; Amazon and Microsoft give the most broadly; Facebook gives to Devin Nunes!
The way PACs work is that employees are persuaded/pressured/cajoled into contributing via payroll deduction, and then that money is allocated to individual campaigns by a specialized executive. Corporate PACs try to give evenly across both parties, and give to incumbents only

When XXL was taken to task last year for their transphobic, femmephobic door policy- one that actively contributes to a climate of violence and dehumanisation against people in our community, he said we should shove our heels in our mouths and arses and that we were not real men.
In response to the allegations of transphobia, he said that the club would allow trans men in, but only if they were “fully-transitioned.”

Wir versuchen, unsere zwei Töchter in dem Bewußtsein groß zu ziehen, dass sie alles dürfen und können und ihnen nichts nur aufgrund ihres Geschlechts verbaut ist. Offenbar sehen das nicht alle Eltern so: "Du kannst nicht mit Dinosauriern spielen, Du bist ein Mädchen".
Heute haben mich die Mädels gebeten, dass ich meinen Rock anziehen soll, um sie zur Schule/Kita zu bringen. Mit der EXPLIZITEN Aufforderung, dass dann die doofen Jungs sehen, dass Männer WOHL einen Rock tragen können, und deshalb folgerichtig Mädchen WOHL Fußball spielen können.
Mir war nicht so ganz wohl dabei, aber wenn die Mädels das wollen, mach ich das. Wenn ich ihnen dauernd predige, dass sie nur auf sich hören sollen, und nicht auf die Vorurteile der anderen, dann muss ich das eben auch mal selbst vorleben. So geht #Performanz.
