#lithium carbonate breaks $510k yuan/ton which is $80k USD - almost a $10k increase in the last fortnight. A small thread on why this matters below for #electricvehicles and #lithium #mining stocks. Happy punting all.
#Spot #lithium traded as above is usually representative of tiny volumes at different districts in China. Could probably spend a whole thread describing lithium prices in different areas but that'd be a waste of time. Take away point is the volume is tiny but it's a trend.
The head price you see here is representative of what traders/chemical producers are getting for product sold typically to #cathode #producers who use the chemicals to create lithium batteries.

Here is an abridged overview of where the #uranium market is:

- The uranium #market is burning through excess uranium supply, mostly coming from the spot market. Within the next 2.5 years, it is highly likely demand for uranium will outstrip #supply. To secure supply,
utilities need to contract uranium at higher prices than the current price.

- Most uranium #miners have placed their mines on care and maintenance ( $PDN, $CCO, etc...). Current capacity, mostly coming from the largest four uranium #producers, will not be enough to cover
future demand requirements. Thus, utilities will search for supply from smaller producers.

- On the #demand side, the East is building #nuclear reactors at an increasing rate. #Japan is restarting shutdown reactors from the #Fukushima Daiichi disaster. Parts of the

3) Indie Labels:
These are self-funded labels that is NOT affiliated to any Big Three Record Label. Affiliation in this regard could be seen in the case of Mr Eazi’s Banku Music label liaising...
Universal Music Group Nigeria & South Africa. After his affiliation with Wizkid’s StarBoy Records in 2016.

Indie Labels often operate solo and an example of one would be #RicHassani’s label called Riverland Records.

Let's start our #GlobalEChats on #music!

Among our #discussion topics: 1. #Stakeholders in music and what happens to them? 2. #Production of music 3. #Consumption of music 4. New #technology out there!
Firstly, let's talk about how scary #technology and #advancement can be to #music.

Some stats:
The US lost $12.5 billion a year in total sales due to pirated music.

71k jobs were lost; $2.7bn in annual earnings; $1.1bn of that would have been earned by the industry.

But as with any #tech #disruption, there are always negative externalities.

In the #music industry, most of the bad press came from #piracy. Sites like Napster and P2P torrenting were rampant back in the day.
