the "#STEM Lord" is an artifact of this phenomenon. while "STEM" is supposed to comprise mathematics and engineering and mathematics, the typical "STEM Lord" is not well-versed in any of these things—the typical "STEM Lord" is in #computers. they are a *technician*.

The first graph which represents the most sophisticated temperature recording instruments available in a network specifically designed for #scientificresearch shows no warming in the continental U.S. for at least 18 years.

That makes it hard to imagine a climate emergency right next door in #Canada

The second graph, which uses the best coverage and consistent methods, shows no warming globally for 25 years. That makes it hard to imagine a climate emergency anywhere in the world.
