While this is symbolic, it's moot, in practice.

1) Most likely, we won't need a draft. #Future wars will be automated, just like cars & romance.
2) If we had a draft, we're screwed anyway. We can't even convince kids earning $0 on Twitch to take one of the 5M unfilled, high-paying blue-collar #jobs w/free training. Our draft is just a way to fill up Canada & tear down our big beautiful Mexican wall..w/fleeing US migrants.
3) This policy is just bad math. You need women & R̶.̶ ̶K̶e̶l̶l̶y̶ Barry White tunes to make future soldiers, but only a tiny hairem of guys named Tom Brady & Jason Momoa.

Whether you're a small business or a giant payments provider, if some nobody startup tries to wedge itself between you and your customers, f$%^ them up, with extreme prejudice. Seriously.

Good #economics debate among @oren_cass @benshapiro @EricRWeinstein on what if market capitalism can no longer produce marriageable men & stable family formation. Is there a case for intervention...presuming we can identify root causes.

Interesting to note many of these are self-inflicted: direct byproducts of policies we enacted.
-loss of manufacturing jobs expedited by free trade agreements
-incarceration, divorce & welfare laws adverse consequences
-Fannie/Freddie/health tax breaks created massive distortions

The progression to more right with age is a historically temporary #American phenomenon born out of the fact that #boomers acquired increasing affluence because of the society in which they found themselves as a result of the #NewDeal & #progressive policies which they inherited
Having been born on third base and believing they had hit a triple, as a generation, they decided to slow this #wealth distribution thing down a little and now we find ourselves where we find ourselves. The move rightwards requires something to conserve.
