Whether you’re a #DataScientist, #Analyst, or #MachineLearning Engineer, fill your toolbox with one of the most important tools for any job:
🧰 Metrics Frameworks

They’re the shortcut to being effective and irreplaceable.

Example:
Take a org type like an e-commerce business. Most of them have the same functions within them: sales and/or marketing, finance, product, UX (site/app design and maintenance), logistics, customer service, legal, etc.

Seems like a ton of disparate data! Well, turns out…
while it’ll feel overwhelming the first time you work in a new unit, metrics frameworks for a given function are surprisingly durable from org to org.

Here’s an e-commerce marketing metrics framework (I spent time as a marketer and a marketing analyst, so it’s my favorite):

I had attended a webinar recently and learnt something incredibly unique! I discovered that you could be a Data Scientist, but having a #specialisation is IMPORTANT!

What is a "specialisation"? How many kinds of specialisations are there in #DataScience Domain?

Thread🧵 Image
*Specialisation*
One can acquire all the skills of a Data Scientist, but having specialisation in a particular skill can set you apart from the rest. It can be anything! You can analyse data as no one else; data visualisation or database management (#DBMS) could be your niche.🤩
☑️Data Visualisation
If you have a knack for producing beautiful graphical representations from the data, this could be your domain of specialisation, and you could become a Data #Visualisation Engineer. Image

My current #Working #Research #Topic: "A Review of the #CommonMonetaryArea of #SouthernAfrica: Are Client Countries Better-off De-Linking from the #Anchor #Economy?". I'm using #OptimumCurrencyArea #OCA #Theory to analyse the #CMA arrangement. Draft will be ready January end..!
The #CommonMonetaryArea of #SouthernAfrica or #CMA could seem to some (mostly the technically inclined) to be a no-brainer & a clear natural #OptimumCurrencyArea given the historical links between the #anchor #SouthAfrica & the #clients (#Lesotho #Eswatini & #Namibia)...
Be that as it may, 2020 marks 46 years since the #RandMonetaryArea - #RMA agreement and 34 years since the RMA was revised to establish the #CommonMonetaryArea - #CMA between #SouthAfrica, #Lesotho, Swaziland (now, #Eswatini) and #Namibia...

I have stopped providing Wireframes to my clients. This has a shift in the focus and expectations of clients from a #UX Principal Consultant. Now they take a keen interest in Ecosystem Diagrams, Lumascapes, Unmoderated Observational Study, User Journey, improving Operations
before suggesting products to achieve an objective, Macro Economy Behaviour, Individual's Personality, Socio-Political and Demographic Constraints. I learned this by following mature ecosystems like the transaction between Doctor Consultants and Testing Labs.
Similarly, the transaction between Lawyer Consultants and Para Legal Team. So, now I pass all the documentation to the UI designer and achieve the design iteratively, progressing over Kanban or Scrum Agile Framework. Anyway, these days Design Systems have made it easy to follow

Do you require an #Engineering Degree to join the "#Usability Engineer" post in #Corporate or #Design #Degree holders can also apply?

Recently I saw a lot of opening for Usability #Engineers in Indian #IT #companies. So this query came to my mind, is Usability Engineer
an appropriate term in IT or should it be called Usability #Analyst? A lot of Bachelors of #Interaction Design and Bachelors of #Product Design progress to become Usability Analyst in IT. In such cases would it be appropriate to call Bachelors of Design as Engineers?
How would this affect CMMI, ISO, Accessibility Act, Hazard & risk and other such Standards?
