With all the rage about ChatGPT, have you ever wondered about the differences between AI and more classical technologies? Join me for a brief tour, with its relation to Aerospace. @RedDivulga, @filarramendi, @uc3m y @doctoradoUC3M.  @PhDAaeroUC3M #PhD #Aerospace #Engineering
ChatGPT, and its equivalents work like buttonsmashing. You have a bajillion buttons, and them you mash, tweak, and tune them randomly. Like this young Alien Stu is doing in the Pixar short movie Lifted.
Stu is trying to learn how to abduct humans. I know, a very Aerospace oriented scenario. Consider him as Chatgpt in its beginnings. He pushes random buttons, and not surprisingly, nothing really works. However, the more he tries, the more he learns the buttons

@Metamaterialtec makes materials engineered with properties not found in nature, such as superconductivity, negative index of refraction, and cloaking abilities. They will revolutionize #industries like #aerospace, #defense, & #telecommunications!
2/7
META can create transparent #antennas with greater electrical efficiency for improved #communications; concentrate #solarenergy in a much smaller area for increased efficiency; or reduce the radar signature of ships and submarines for a #tactical advantage.
3/7
In addition to #telecommunications and #military applications, metamaterials could be used to make buildings more efficient by providing smart glass that manipulates light in ways that can't be achieved with traditional construction techniques. #StructuralStability

Title: Aerostructural Wing and Fuselage Optimization for Hydrogen-based Aircraft

Background: Currently, aviation is undergoing a large shift towards more sustainable, eco-friendly, and efficient aviation to meet the International Air Transport Association (IATA) ambitious Image
targets to mitigate CO2 emissions by 50% from air transport until 2050. Hydrogen technologies have emerged as a potential energy source represent a long-term option as a fuel for aviation. Beyond the purely technological issues, a holistic assessment requires looking at the
integration of hydrogen into the aircraft design towards hydrogen-powered aircraft. The development of the necessary systems to store and distribute hydrogen fuel on the aircraft for flight is a mandatory step toward such a system. Since liquid hydrogen cannot be reasonably

This way the customer is not building the satellite from scratch.

C) These satellites will work perfectly with the ASTRA launch vehicles for even more efficiency.

D) This cuts down the idea-to-launch-timeframes by an order of magnitude, & cuts costs down for everybody.

Their executive team appears to be stellar with a ton of experience in this space, including having worked at @SpaceX and @NASA.

It makes sense, considering they are the 3rd private company to ever achieve orbit, and they did it faster than anybody else, ever!

UFOs 2020: This thread is intended as a catch-up for people whose attention is newly drawn to recent published revelations regarding interest, by some organs of the U.S. government, in certain UFO events. This thread touches on some significant developments of the past 3 years.
Credit for expanding interest in the subject owes much to groundbreaking journalists, chief among them Tim McMillan of @debriefmedia. Check out his remarkable 12-2-20 piece on classified UFO reports and photos being circulated among intelligence agencies.

Big news from Tim McMillan at The Debrief: A classified 2018 U.S. government agency intelligence report regarded “non-human” tech as one real possibility for UFOs encountered by military pilots. An "extremely clear" photo of a large, triangular UFO

was included in a second classified UFO report issued just a few months ago. All that follows are direct quotes from McMillan's @Debriefmedia article:

Several current and former officials with the DoD and individuals working for multiple U.S. intelligence agencies
told The Debrief that there was much more going on behind closed doors. Multiple sources confirmed for The Debrief that the UAPTF [Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, operating out of the Office of Naval Intelligence] had issued two classified intelligence position reports,

With its continued dev't of #ASBMs & associated targeting architecture, #China continues to work on changing the game in #SCS & beyond—but so too does US w/ its own developments & countermeasures.

But by no means is the game over for @USNavy, in the #SouthChinaSea or anywhere else.

Vols are showing upticks as well, so should stay careful.

I saw the movie #Apollo13 with #LunarModule Program Director #JoeGavin. Now it’s time to tell the forgotten story—which that film doesn’t show—of how he & his #Grumman #Team helped rescue the astronauts with a #LMLifeboat while the world watched: andrewerickson.com/2020/04/apollo… #Apollo50
Five decades ago, during the aborted #Apollo13 mission of April 1970, #Grumman Aerospace Corporation’s #LunarModule saved 3 astronauts by becoming a lifeboat-tugboat. Throughout the crisis, #LM Program Director #JoeGavin manned his post @NASA’s #MissionControl Center in #Houston.
Gavin led a multi-hundred-person team in Houston & Bethpage, NY to help coordinate assessment & use of the #LM’s capabilities for emergency #LunarLifeboat role.

Gavin, virtually all of his colleagues + contemporaries & #Grumman itself have subsequently departed from the scene.

Don't believe that Blukip Mayhem & Co realise just HOW far adrift they have become from public opinion NOW! Of course, they could put ANY deal? Big IF? to a #peoplesvote, and test the will of the people to which they love SO much to defer? Democracy? Do they really believe in it?
Hard to escape the view that 'so called' UK Democracy has been completely hijacked by Blukip Mayhem & Co. There's NO mandate to trash our economy in the way now daily unfolding. It's totally risible to suggest that we'll go global from the self-inflicted wreckage of what we had.
Triple hit from #Brexodus; deferred, reduced or cancelled #BusinessInvestment and collapsing consumer #Confidence look likely to impact UK #GDP when #Q2 stats are known. Will Blukip Mayhem & Co take any notice? Or just keep racking up yet more debt, as UK #TaxTake recedes!
